    Abstract: The protocol of a proprietary outgoing VOIP signal, developed by a first proprietary VOIP telephone, is changed so that this outgoing VOIP signal, in the new protocol, can be received by a second proprietary VOIP telephone, the operation of which is based on the new protocol. This mode of operation makes possible telephone communications between multiple pairs of dissimilar proprietary VOIP telephones in the same network positioned either at different locations or at the same location.
