  • Publication number: 20240253362
Abstract: An image forming method includes: applying a pretreatment liquid, which is an aqueous solution, to a cloth material, which is an absorbent base material; after applying the pretreatment liquid, applying an aqueous ink onto the cloth material to form an image on the cloth material by an ink jet method. Applying the pretreatment liquid includes applying the pretreatment liquid such that the cloth material includes, when applying the aqueous ink, the pretreatment liquid in an amount of 20 mg/cm2 to 150 mg/cm2 per unit area of the cloth material. The aqueous ink includes a white ink containing titanium oxide particles having an average particle diameter of 20 nm to 200 nm.
