  • Patent number: 8599342
Abstract: A liquid crystal display panel including liquid crystal sandwiched between a pair of substrates is prepared. A light-transmitting reinforcing plate is prepared. A photocuring resin is provided between the liquid crystal display panel and the reinforcing plate. Light is irradiated to a side surface of a laminated body constituted of the liquid crystal display panel, the reinforcing plate and the photocuring resin. The photocuring resin is arranged to face the liquid crystal in an opposed manner. The light is allowed to advance to the inside of the photocuring resin from an edge portion of the photocuring resin. The light is allowed to advance to the inside of the reinforcing plate from an edge portion of the reinforcing plate, is propagated in the inside of the reinforcing plate, and is irradiated to the photocuring resin from the reinforcing plate at a position away from the edge portion of the reinforcing plate.

  • Publication number: 20130299082
Abstract: A liquid crystal parallax barrier panel and a liquid crystal display panel are held by vacuum-holding, and aligned so as to be laminated via an adhesive. After the lamination, the vacuum-holding is released. Then lamination of the liquid crystal display panel and the liquid crystal parallax barrier panel is finely adjusted, and the adhesive is temporarily cured by radiating ultraviolet rays. The adhesive is primarily cured and further thermally cured by ultraviolet rays to complete manufacturing of a three dimensional display device. Release of the vacuum-holding before temporary adhesion using ultraviolet rays allows suppression of deformation of a TFT substrate owing to the vacuum-holding as well as the gap unevenness and the color shading of the liquid crystal panel.

  • Patent number: 7317612
Abstract: A resin two-panel intergral-type holder holds first and second display panels of different sizes on two surfaces. The holder has a first bank-like rib which surrounds at least three sides of a periphery of the first display panel and defines first accommodating region and a second bank-like rib which surrounds at least three sides of a periphery of the second display panel and defines a second accommodating region. A conductive sheet member is formed on a first portion of another surface corresponding to the first accommodating region except for the second accommodating region and a second portion of another surface corresponding to the second accommodating region respectively. The conductive sheet member contacts another surface. A notch is formed in the second bank-like rib to electrically connect the first and second portions of the conductive sheet member.

  • Publication number: 20050068717
Abstract: The present invention can provide a display device provided with a two-panel integral-type holder having the EMI shielding structure. A two-panel integral-type holder is formed of a resin molded product and holds a first display panel on one surface thereof and a second display panel having a size smaller than a size of the first display panel on another surface thereof. Further, the two-panel integral-type holder has a first bank-like rib which surrounds at least three sides of a periphery of the first display panel and defines a first accommodating region and a second bank-like rib which is formed on another surface and surrounds at least three sides of a periphery of the second display panel and defines a second accommodating region. A conductive sheet member is formed on a first portion of another surface corresponding to the first accommodating region except for the second accommodating region and a second portion of another surface corresponding to the second accommodating region respectively.

  • Patent number: 6597092
Abstract: In a shadow mask color cathode ray tube, its shadow mask is not easily deformed into a concave shape when an impact or a vibration is applied to the shadow mask, so that a good image can be displayed. The electron beam passing holes of the shadow mask are each formed of an upper hole etched from the panel side of the shadow mask and a lower hole etched from the electron-gun side of the shadow mask. In each electron beam passing hole located in the peripheral portion of the shadow mask, the ratio of an upper-side etching quantity to a lower-side etching quantity is controlled to be 1.8 or less. By adjusting the balance in strength relative to compressive stresses between the panel side and the electron-gun side of the shadow mask, it is possible to prevent the shadow mask from being deformed into a concave shape.

  • Patent number: 6590327
Abstract: A color cathode ray tube comprises a panel which outside surface is flat and inside surface has curvature, and a pressed shadow mask having a curved surface opposed to the panel inside surface. The curved surface of the shadow mask is such that the radius of curvature decreases approximately linearly as the position moves from the center to the periphery. Radii of curvature on the major axis, minor axis, and diagonal axis at positions having the same distance from the shadow mask center do not have large differences. This configuration can increase the mechanical strength of the shadow mask.

  • Patent number: 6552481
Abstract: A color CRT suppresses deformation of the main shadow mask surface after fastening the shadow mask to the mask frame. Numerous substantially rectangular grooves or substantially circular recesses are formed in the damper part disposed to the shadow mask skirt so that the bending strength in the circumference direction of the skirt is greater than the bending strength in the direction parallel to the tube axis.
