  • Publication number: 20090189987
Abstract: The magnitude of magnetic attraction generated between an electromagnetic coil and a magnetic metal member (or an amount of electric current flowed to the electromagnetic coil) is controlled depending on a direction of acceleration (acceleration caused by the gravity (a gravitational acceleration) and acceleration caused by shake (shake acceleration)) working on an imaging apparatus. This magnetic attraction moves a second slider (including a CCD and a first slider) as a whole toward the electromagnetic coil. This movement brings two inclined surfaces (or fourth and fifth surfaces) of a shaft hole 10d into contact with a second guide shaft with no gap being interposed in between, and keeps the this contact condition.

  • Patent number: 7327656
Abstract: Prior to recording/reproducing information to/from an optical disk rotationally driven by a spindle motor, an optical pickup is moved to a plurality of measuring positions set beforehand in a radial direction of the optical disk. A relative tilt between the optical disk and the optical pickup is detected with the spindle motor being rotated so that a linear velocity at each of the measuring positions equals a linear velocity upon actually recording or reproducing the information thereat. The tilt detected at each of the measuring positions is stored as tilt detection data corresponding to each of the measuring positions.

  • Patent number: 7307929
Abstract: In a tilt correction method, first information about a specific inclination of an object lens is acquired in response to an access request to an information recording medium. The specific inclination is obtained when the signal characteristic of a push-pull signal becomes a prescribed level in or near a target access area. Then, second information about the optimum inclination of the object lens is acquired for the target access area, based on the first information and tilt difference information representing a difference between a first inclination and a second inclination of the object lens defined in advance in a particular area on the information recording medium. The first inclination corresponds to an optimum reproduced signal from the particular area, and the second inclination is obtained when the signal characteristic of the push-pull signal from the particular area becomes the prescribed level. Finally, tilt correction information is estimated from the second information.

  • Patent number: 7187632
Abstract: In a state in which an optical disk having a warping amount equal to or smaller than a predetermined amount is attached to a spindle motor, an output of tilt detection result is stored as a reference tilt value in a memory. At this time, a control signal corresponding to a driving inclining amount in which inclining the objective lens by the driving inclining amount minimizes the inclination of the objective lens from the attached optical disk is stored as a reference control value in the memory. An CPU a multiplies difference between a detection result of the tilt detection and the reference tilt value by a control constant, and adds the reference control value to the multiplied difference, and provides the thus-obtained control signal to a tilt driving circuit.
