    Abstract: A precalciner for cement raw meal is divided into upper and lower parts. The upper part is shaped into a cylinder, while the lower part is constituted by upper and lower inverted conical portions. The upper inverted concial portion has a cone angle smaller than that of the lower inverted conical portion and is connected to the lower end of the upper part through a throttle device.
