  • Patent number: 11628744
Abstract: A vehicle control device includes a main control device, a sub-control device, and a temperature detection unit. The main control device includes a recognition unit that recognizes a peripheral situation of a vehicle, a driving control unit that controls steering and acceleration/deceleration of the vehicle independently from an operation of a driver, and a mode determination unit that determines a driving mode of the vehicle. The sub-control device is capable of controlling the vehicle in place of the main control device. The temperature detection unit detects a temperature of a second battery that is different from a first battery supplying power to the main control device and supplies power to the sub-control device. The mode determination unit changes the driving mode of the vehicle from the second driving mode to the first driving mode when a temperature of the second battery is lower than a predetermined temperature.

  • Patent number: 11614736
Abstract: An automatic driving executability determination unit restricts automatic driving when a charge amount determination unit (third determination unit) determines that a battery is in a low capacity state, and decides whether to restrict the automatic driving according to a determination result of a discharge performance determination unit (first determination unit) when a temperature determination unit (second determination unit) determines that the battery is in the low capacity state but a charge amount determination unit determines that the battery is not in the low capacity state.

  • Patent number: 11458861
Abstract: Provided is a vehicle control device that prevents a specific function of a traveling vehicle from being not able to operate due to a failure of a battery. The vehicle control device includes: a control section configured to execute predetermined function control for a vehicle system; a discharge performance determination section configured to determine whether or not a battery is able to discharge a predetermined amount of current in accordance with a predetermined function before the predetermined function control is started; and an execution availability determination section configured to permit the control section to execute the predetermined function when it is determined that the predetermined amount of current is able to be discharged and inhibit the control section from executing the predetermined function when it is determined that the predetermined amount of current is not able to be discharged.

  • Patent number: 11433780
Abstract: When replacement of a battery is detected, an automatic driving executability determination unit determines whether the battery is in a low capacity state until a predetermined time elapses, using battery information (battery charge amount, discharge performance) excluding an estimation value of a temperature of the battery, and restricts automatic driving according to such a determination result.

  • Publication number: 20140142723
Abstract: An automatic control system synchronizes and controls a control target while preventing unnecessary signal processing. The system includes a slave station that is connected to the control target, a master station that is connected to a control unit for controlling the control target, a contact point information collection and distribution device that collects and distributes a series of contact point information communicated at a predetermined communication cycle, and communication lines connecting between the master and slave stations via the contact point information collection and distribution device. The contact point information collection and distribution device collects and distributes the series of contact point information in synchronization with all the communication lines under the control of the control unit.
