  • Publication number: 20100234106
Abstract: An object storage unit (220) stores object information, including that of a main character who wears a camouflage outfit. More specifically, the object storage unit (220) stores a standard texture (222) showing a standard camouflage pattern, an additional texture (223) showing a replaceable camouflage pattern, as well as a material properties parameter (224) that determines the material properties of the camouflage outfit. When the main character stops, a background specifying unit (232) specifies the object serving as the background of the main character by referring to a position information storage unit (240). In addition, a clothing changing unit (233) appropriate selects a combination of an additional texture (223) and a material properties parameter (224) according to the texture or other features of the specified object, thereby changing the appearance of the main character's camouflage outfit.

  • Publication number: 20100085355
Abstract: A duplicate generating section (240) generates, from obtained object information, a duplicate object whose shape (behavior) is identical to that of the current one of an enemy character. An object placing section (250) reduces the duplicate object based on the distance from a viewpoint to the enemy character (the corresponding enemy character), the angle of view, etc. The object placing section (250) in turn places the duplicate object, e.g., on the clip surface at the forefront of the viewable region (view frustum). A contour image generating section (260) extracts a contour from the duplicate object by a dedicated shader and generates a contour image. An image rendering section (270) renders images of all objects, including a contour object at the forefront.

  • Patent number: 6932620
Abstract: An elastic member made of a metallic conductor is installed inside a main body. A contact head made of a conductor is pressed by a force exerted from the elastic member against an object to be contacted. The contact head is connected to a wire constituting a part of an electric conduction path. An insulator for breaking electric continuity between the elastic member and the contact head is inserted between the elastic member and the contact head. In addition to establishing electrical continuity with the object to be contacted using the wire and the contact head rather than the elastic member, the elastic member is insulated from the contact head and placed apart from the contact head to suppress parasitic capacitance between the elastic member and the contact head.
