    Abstract: A vibration damping device including: first and second mounting members; a main rubber elastic body elastically connecting the two members; and a bracket member fit into the first mounting member. A projecting part projects outward from a circumference of the first mounting member, and includes a locking groove whose inner surface is covered by a rubber coating layer and has a locking part on its side wall inner surface. An engaging projection projecting from the bracket member is fit into the locking groove, and a projection tip surface of the engaging projection is abutted on a bottom wall inner surface of the locking groove. A side surface of the engaging projection is locked to the locking part so as to constitute a positioning member that positions the first mounting member and the bracket member to each other.

    Abstract: There is provided a vibration damping device including; a pair of rubber arm portions connecting an inner fitting and an outer fitting to each other in the horizontal direction; and a rubber leg portion connecting in the vertical direction; the paired rubber arm portions are formed so that the thickness thereof decreases gradually from the inner fitting side toward the outer fitting side, and the rubber leg portion is formed so that each of both side surfaces is formed by an inwardly depressed curved surface, and is formed into a curved broaden shape toward the outer fitting side. Thereby, a spring constant in the horizontal direction is increased advantageously while a spring constant in the vertical direction kept large, and the durability of the rubber elastic body can be increased effectively.

    Abstract: A cylindrical vibration damping apparatus having an elastic body connecting an inner shaft and an outer cylinder member, and a pair of rubber stop plates disposed at axial ends of the inner shaft member. Each rubber stop plate has a mount hole that fits about the outside of the inner shaft member. Pairs of mating projections and mating recesses are provided to an interface between an inner circumferential surface of the mount hole of the each rubber stop plate and an outer circumferential surface of the corresponding axial end of the inner shaft member at three or more different intervals in a circumferential direction so that the pair of rubber stop plates are installed onto the axial ends of the inner shaft member with correct identification of a front and back and a circumferential position about the inner shaft member. A method of manufacturing the same is also disclosed.
