  • Patent number: 7845165
Abstract: An exhaust emission control system including a continuous regenerating diesel particulate filter (“DPF”) and a DPF controller, wherein a forced regenerator is operated by a driver's request, when it is judged that a traveling distance, after starting particulate matter collection, detected by a traveling distance detector has reached a predetermined judging traveling distance, even when the DPF controller detects that a collection amount detected by a collection amount detector is smaller than a prescribed judging collection amount. Accordingly, in a continuous regenerating DPF capable of manual regenerating, the number of warnings, such as a blinking regeneration button prompting a manual regeneration, is reduced to relieve a driver of annoyance or inconvenience.

  • Patent number: 6901747
Abstract: The present invention concerns an diesel engine fuel injection control, and a regeneration control method of exhaust gas post-treatment apparatus using this fuel injection control, and the engine fuel injection control for performing after injections (Fas, Fam) after a main injection (Fm) for activation and regeneration of the exhaust gas post-treatment apparatus, through the rising of diesel engine exhaust gas temperature or the decrease of the oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas, is composed to perform the after injections (Fas, Fam) in a range of 40° ATDC to 90° ATDC of the crank angle. Whereby, the main injection can be burned, without misfire, even when the main injection is largely retarded, or, the injection quantity is increased/decreased, and the engine operation can be sustained, by keeping the engine combustion in a good state.

  • Patent number: 6802180
Abstract: An exhaust gas purification system includes the DPF to purify particulate matters in the exhaust gas of a diesel engine, comprising a regeneration control device to judge a condition of an engine operation to be an idle operation or not at the time of starting the control operation for regenerating the diesel particulate filter and during the regeneration control operation, when the engine operation is judged to be an idle operation, an idle engine speed is controlled and raised to the predetermined engine speed. Since the system includes such structure, in an operation of the DPF regenerate control, an adequate exhaust gas flow rate can be kept even in an idle operation and a raise of the DPF temperature due to a reduction of the exhaust gas flow rate can be avoided so as to prevent a damage of the DPF from melting and a deterioration of the catalyst.
