  • Patent number: 10172081
Abstract: An information processing system transmits, via a first network, connection information for a second network that is different from the first network to a plurality of terminal apparatuses; carries out communications with the terminal apparatuses via the second network based on the transmitted connection information; stores respective items of terminal identification information for the terminal apparatuses, with which the communications are carried out via the second network; determines whether the terminal apparatuses that are identified by the stored items of terminal identification information can carry out communications via the second network; and, when determining that the terminal apparatuses cannot carry out communications via the second network, carries out such control as to prevent the second network from being used to carry out communications.

  • Publication number: 20180365300
Abstract: A data distribution apparatus includes a processor, in communication with a memory, executing a process including generating fusion data by incorporating, in a metadata area in first time series data in a predetermined section, hash data obtained by hashing second time series data in a corresponding section; calculating a signature value according to a plurality of pieces of the fusion data; and outputting the fusion data, the second time series data in the corresponding section, and the signature value.

  • Patent number: 9032230
Abstract: An information processing apparatus has a sub system that, while a main system is in power saving state, analyzes a protocol of a network communication and recovers the main system to an ordinary power mode from the power saving state, in accordance with the protocol. There is a setting unit that sets a re-transition condition which is a condition to make the main system switch to the power saving state again, depending on a kind of the network communication. Further, there is a control unit that monitors whether the re-transition condition is satisfied and switches the main system to the power saving state in response to the re-transition condition being satisfied.

  • Patent number: 8966244
Abstract: A processing unit performs a predetermined process by a remote operation from a client device. A monitoring unit monitors a first port for an unencrypted communication with the processing unit and a second port for an encrypted communication with the processing unit, denies a connection request via the first port, and accepts a connection request via the second port. When a connection request encrypted with either one of the first port and the second port specified as a forwarding destination port is received, an encrypted communication unit decrypts the connection request and transfers decrypted connection request to the monitoring unit via the forwarding destination port.

  • Publication number: 20090077169
Abstract: A network device providing a service to a client device connected via a network. An information providing section provides information that promotes accessing the service by the client device. A service execution section executes the requested service according to a request from the client device based upon information provided by the information providing section. The information providing section and the service execution section are booted as separate processes.

  • Publication number: 20070250717
Abstract: An image forming apparatus is provided with a first generating part to generate an encrypted image data by subjecting an input image data to a predetermined encryption process, a second generating part to generate a decryption key that is used when decrypting the encrypted image data, wherein a different decryption key is generated every time the encrypted image data is generated, and an identifier that is uniquely determined based on the encrypted image data is generated. An outputting part is further provided to form decryption key information by adding the identifier to the decryption key, and to store the decryption key information in a removable storage medium that is connected to the image forming apparatus.
