  • Patent number: 11878768
Abstract: A saddled vehicle includes an air cleaner and a vehicle body movement sensor. The air cleaner takes travel wind in an air cleaner box to purify air of the travel wind and supplies the purified air to an internal combustion engine. The vehicle body movement sensor is received in a recess and measures movement of a vehicle body. The recess is defined by a flat surface that crosses a rear wall of the air cleaner box. This provides a saddled vehicle including a vehicle body movement sensor that is disposed without reducing the volume of an air cleaner box.

  • Patent number: 10954833
Abstract: An air cleaner includes: an air cleaner box defining a clean chamber that is placed rearward of a dirty chamber, the clean chamber receiving air which has been introduced from front into the dirty chamber and then filtered through an air cleaner element; and funnels that are to be connected to an intake port of an internal combustion engine, the funnels protruding upward into a space within the air cleaner box from a bottom wall of the air cleaner box. The air cleaner further includes a breather chamber into which blow-by gas is introduced from the internal combustion engine, the breather chamber being placed rearward of the funnels and between the funnels and a rear wall of the air cleaner box. Accordingly, the air cleaner can further promote the air-liquid separation of blow-by gas without incurring an increase in weight of the internal combustion engine.

  • Patent number: 10233879
Abstract: In a structure for mounting resonators to a duct, the duct including openings is provided with a plurality of duct-side mounting pieces, and the resonators formed separately from the duct and including communication ports coupled to the openings are provided with a plurality of resonator-side mounting pieces that are mounted to the duct-side mounting pieces. Coupling portions of the duct and the resonators are configured to ensure turning the resonators when the resonators are mounted to the duct. On the plurality of duct-side mounting pieces disposed with intervals in a peripheral direction of the coupling portions, mounting surfaces are formed to be opposed to turning directions of the resonators when mounting the resonators to the duct, the resonator-side mounting pieces being abutted against and mounted to the mounting surfaces. Accordingly, it is possible to turn the resonators when mounting them to the duct and improve attachment work.

  • Patent number: 10086897
Abstract: In a structure for installing a fuel pump in a fuel tank, in which the fuel pump is attached to the fuel tank by clamping a flange portion of a pump case of the fuel pump between the fuel tank and a retainer fastened to the fuel tank, an interference portion is formed integrally with an inner peripheral edge of the retainer while being overhung inward in a radial direction, the interference portion being capable of interfering with any one of protruding portions when a relative position in a peripheral direction of the retainer with respect to the flange portion is set at a non-normal position, and a non-normal surface of opposite surfaces of the retainer is faced to the flange portion.

  • Patent number: 8499880
Abstract: A vehicle is provided that includes an intake device including a throttle body that is connected to a rear-side surface of a cylinder head which constitutes a part of an engine body which is mounted on a vehicle-body frame in a state where an axis of a crankshaft is arranged along the longitudinal direction. A sufficient clearance can be ensured between the intake device and a member which is arranged above the throttle body. A posture of the throttle body 30 is set such that an axis C2 of an intake passage formed in the throttle body 30 extends in the rearward and downward direction.

  • Patent number: 8118128
Abstract: A canister holding structure for mounting an evaporative emissions canister, having a cylindrical body portion, to a vehicle body. A central axis of the cylindrical body portion extends in a direction other than perpendicular to a ground surface. The canister holding structure includes a holding member, including an annular portion which substantially surrounds the cylindrical body portion of the canister, and a fixing portion for attaching to the vehicle body. Positioning structure is provided for positioning the canister in relation to the holding member. The positioning structure is provided to both the annular portion and the canister. In one illustrative embodiment, the positioning structure includes at least one projection provided on a periphery of the cylindrical body portion of the canister, and multiple holes provided in the annular portion of the holding member, where each of the multiple holes is engageable with the projection.
