  • Patent number: 4238773
Abstract: A television receiver is disclosed, which receives two television signals and compresses a time axis of one of the television signals and inserts the compressed signal to a portion of the other television signal to display both signals on the same screen. A signal indicating a boundary of the two images is produced from a synchronizing signal derived from one of the two received television signals and the boundary indicating signal is superimposed on one or both of a brightness signal and a chrominance signal to display the boundary.

  • Patent number: 4210053
Abstract: An electronic musical instrument of a type in which information of actuation of keys is detected by scanning the keys of keyboard. The electronic musical instrument includes the keys selectively actuable for producing sounds which correspond to respective musical scale notes, circuitry for sequentially scanning said keys for detection of the information of the actuation of said keys, and memorizing circuitry which corresponds to each of the keys so that the information of the actuation of the keys is memorized. Each memorizing circuitry is composed of a pair of capacitors, one of which is a small capacitor for "dynamic" holding, and the other of which is a capacitor for determination of decay envelope, with the latter being sequentially connected electrically to the former.

  • Patent number: 4128032
Abstract: An electronic musical instrument has a plurality of tone selectors which select musical tones; a waveshape calculator which calculates a waveshape represented by amplitudes at two or more than two sampled points of one period of the selected tone and which is operative whenever the tone selectors are actuated; a plurality of waveshape memories which temporarily memorize the calculated waveshapes; clock signal generator which generates clock signals with high frequencies corresponding to pitches of depressed keyswitches of the musical instrument and which is operative whenever the keyswitches are depressed; a reading circuit which repetitively and successively reads out the memorized waveshape amplitudes by the clock signal generated by the clock signal generator; and a converter which converts the waveshape amplitudes read out by the reading circuit to a musical tone, wherein a musical tone is generated by repetitively reading out the temporarily memorized musical waveshape.

  • Patent number: 4116102
Abstract: The present invention is an integrated circuit for an electronic musical instrument comprising: a plurality of frequency divider chains receiving a plurality of input signals for dividing the frequencies of the input signals one after another and corresponding to a plurality of series of adjacent notes which are chromatically arranged in turn in a twelve-tone of a musical scale, respectively; keyer-gates for switching on and off the input signals and output signals of the frequency dividers of the frequency divider chains respectively; and adding means for adding at least two output signals of the keyer-gates which correspond to the adjacent notes chromatically arranged to each other, so as to produce output tone signals therefrom, respectively.

  • Patent number: 4025940
Abstract: The channel current of an MOS transistor is controlled by varying the potential distribution in the source area. The source area is formed of a resistive material and provided with at least two electrodes on at least one of which a controlling voltage is applied. The current between the source and the drain terminals increases more rapidly than the linear change with respect to the increase in the voltage between the terminals, i.e. current-voltage characteristics are convex toward the lower direction. This device has excellent characteristics for use as a discharge impedance element in a sustain function circuit of an indirect keying or other circuit of an electronic musical instrument.
