    Abstract: A fastener structure for fastening a first member and a second member using a taper implant having a threaded hole therein. The taper implant has a frusto-conical outer surface, a projecting portion connected to a larger diameter end and a threaded hole passing therethrough. The first member has a wall portion with a tapered hole extending therethrough and a counterbored portion adjacent a larger diameter end to receive the projection portion of the taper implant. The taper implant is inserted into the hole of the first member and held therein by frictional contact. The second member has a wall portion with a hole therethrough. The second member is positioned in contact with the first member and the two members are fastened together by inserting a male screw through the hole of the second member and threading the male screw into engagement with the threaded hole of the taper implant.

    Abstract: In an eyeglasses to which the invention is applied, a taper nut having a collar portion and a conical taper portion is fitted and attached to a hole having a circular truncated cone shape and pierced in an eyeglasses part. A hole for passing a male screw therethrough is formed in another eyeglasses part, and the eyeglasses parts are connected to each other by screwing the male screw inserted to the hole with a female screw provided in an inner portion of the taper nut. Further, continuous holes having a circular truncated cone shape are pierced in both the connected eyeglasses parts. It is possible to prevent both the eyeglasses parts from rotating with each other by fitting the taper nut to the hole, and both the parts are connected by engaging the male screw from a side in which the taper of the taper nut is reduced.

    Abstract: A method of fastening a first member and a second member using a taper implant having a threaded hole therein includes providing a taper implant having a frusto-conical outer surface, a projecting portion connected to a larger diameter end and a threaded hole passing therethrough and providing a first member having a wall portion with a tapered hole extending therethrough and having a counterbored portion adjacent a larger diameter end to receive the projection portion of the taper implant. The taper implant is inserted into the hole of the first member and held therein by frictional contact. A second member is provided having a wall portion with a hole therethrough. The second member is positioned in contact with the first member and the two members are fastened together by inserting a male screw through the hole of the second member and threading the male screw into engagement with the threaded hole of the taper implant.

    Abstract: A method of fixing a taper implant to a receiving member includes providing a taper implant having a frusto-conical outer surface, a projecting portion connected to a larger diameter end and a smaller diameter end. A receiving member is provided which has a wall portion with a passing-through hole therein with at least a portion of the passing-through hole being tapered to form a frusto-conical shape whereby the taper portion has a larger diameter end and a smaller diameter end and the passing through hole has a cylindrical counterbored portion adjacent to the larger diameter end in which the projecting portion of the taper implant is received. A taper rate of the taper portion of the passing through hole is the same as a taper rate of the taper portion of the taper implant.

    Abstract: A member coupling device is provided for use with a treatment apparatus which uses chemicals. The member coupling device is formed with a tapered hole including a tapered hole portion which diverges toward an opening. A tapered implant is inserted into the tapered hole from an enlarged side of the tapered hole portion and fitted therein. The implant includes a tapered portion in contact with the tapered hole portion, and a first thread formed on the tapered portion. With the implant fitted in the tapered hole, a member is placed in contact with the member coupling device. A second thread formed on a fastening member is engaged with the first thread of the implant in a screw coupling configuration to mount the member on the member coupling device.

    Abstract: A present invention provides a locking mechanism capable of preventing a bolt from loosening. A bolt 5 has a head provided with a first part which comprises openings 511. A locking washer 4 is provided with a second part which includes outer projections 411 and a third part which includes insertion projections 401 on an outer edge. A taper piece 1 has a portion provided with a fourth part which comprises openings 105. The first part and the second part can engage with each other and the third part and the fourth part can engage with each other when said bolt 5 fastens at least two members 7 and 8 trough said washer 4 and said taper piece 1. Accordingly, the bolt 5 is prevented from rotating in an loosening direction.
