    Abstract: In a film processor, filmstrips are contained in their specific cartridge shells with their film leaders attached to a leader plate, and are fed into processing baths with the leader plate in the lead, while being pulled out from the cartridge shells. After the filmstrips are separated from the cartridge shells, the cartridge shells drop on a chute and slide down on the chute. Smaller cartridge shells sift through a sifting slit formed through the chute along the sliding direction, while larger cartridge shells slide down to a lower end of the chute. A lateral guide plate extends under the sifting slit, to guide smaller cartridge shells having sifted through the sifting slit in the lateral direction of the sifting chute toward a cartridge recovery box. Larger cartridge shells drop from the lower end of the chute down to a second cartridge recovery box.

    Abstract: A film carrier of a photographic printer which is designed so that trimming for each frame can be made by a simple manual operation, and the trimming position can be readily confirmed, and that the photographic film and the film carrier can be readily returned to the original center position. The film carrier has a pair of upper and lower masks (32 and 20) for holding a photographic film (50) to be printed therebetween. The film carrier further has a film guide groove (23) for guiding the photographic film (50) to a position where it is to be held between the lower mask (20) supported by a lower mask support frame (1) and the upper mask (32) supported by an upper mask support frame (2), and a screw mechanism (6 and 7) for moving the upper mask (32) relative to the lower mask (20), which is secured to the photographic printer, in a direction perpendicular to the film feed direction in the film plane, together with the film guide groove (23).     Abstract: An arrangement of a color enlarger head is disclosed that allows an original picture negative to be irradiated for print-out with an even quantity of light without the need for adjusting a quantity of light transmitted through a diffuse transmission plate disposed on an exit side of a diffusion box. Them is provided below the diffusion box a light distribution adjusting box in which the light rays transmitted through the diffuse transmission plate are appropriately reflected so as to increase the quantity of light entering a peripheral zone of the original picture negative and thereby to equalize the light rays available to print out the original picture negative.     Abstract: In an apparatus for making a booklet or album formed of a plurality of photographs bound by a cover sheet, many photographs are inserted between a pair of nipping plates in an insertable situation and are held loosely in an upright state on a photograph receiving member. In the insertable situation, the receiving member is vibrated and the photographs are straightened at lower ends and one side edges. The straightened photographs are nipped by a pair of nipping plates from both sides and moved to a bonding position above an adhesive layer on the cover sheet. Thereafter, a pressure roller is rolled in the longitudinal direction of the adhesive layer to press the cover sheet upwardly in order to attach the lower ends of the phographs to the adhesive layer. This cover sheet is bent in a channel shape by a V-shaped groove formed on a bending block along a rim on each side of the photographs.

    Abstract: An imaging lens holder device for use in an optical information recording apparatus is disclosed. The device comprises a focus adjusting member having a coefficient of thermal expansion with a value larger than that of the coefficient of thermal expansion of a supporting leg with a ledge and a leg member for supporting a holder for a member to be scanned. Respective leg materials are so selected that an increment caused by thermal expansion between the surface of the ledge opposite to the substrate and the surface of the member to be scanned and an increment of the focus adjusting member in the direction to the substrate caused by thermal expansion in case of using the ledge surface as a reference surface, are made equal to each other.

    Abstract: A camera portion and a processor portion are combined so that the film exposed in the camera portion is processed in the processor portion. The camera portion is provided with a roll film take-up magazine and a cutter for cutting a roll film into sheet film. When roll processing is desired, the exposed roll film is taken up in the roll film take-up magazine and the magazine is put into the processing portion. When sheet processing is desired, the exposed roll film is cut into sheet film in the camera portion and fed into the processor portion. The processor portion is provided with a first film passage for guiding the sheet film into the processor and a second film passage for guiding the roll film into the processor. The processor portion has a roll film magazine holding device for holding the roll film take-up magazine so that the roll film taken out thereof is guided into the processor through the second film passage.
