    Abstract: One embodiment provides a stator for an electric rotary machine, the stator including: a stator core having plural slots; segmented coils of plural phases; and a pair of base plates provided at both ends of the stator core, wherein the segmented coils have plural substantially-straight coil bars which are respectively inserted in the slots in the stator core and plural connection coils which are disposed on the base plates so as to connect together the coil bars of the same phase, and wherein the stator core and the coil bars make up a stator core assembly and the base plates and the connection coils make up base plate assemblies, so that the stator is made up of the stator core assembly and the base plate assemblies.
