    Abstract: A method for manufacturing an additively-manufactured object in which deposition is performed by melting and solidifying a metal depending on three-dimensional shape data of a target shape, includes: acquiring the three-dimensional shape data; creating a deposition plan in which a formation track and a heating condition of the metal are determined; determining a difference between a shape of the additively-manufactured object that thermally contracts by cooling after deposition and a shape of the three-dimensional shape data by an operation; modifying the deposition plan until the difference falls within a predetermined allowable range; and additively manufacturing the additively-manufactured object based on the deposition plan in which the difference falls within the allowable range.

    Abstract: A drive unit for a hybrid vehicle includes: an internal combustion engine 1; a transmission 3 connected to the internal combustion engine 1 via a clutch 2; a primary differential gear 11 for distributing a driving force transmitted from the transmission 3, to primary driving wheels 17 and 18; a transfer 20 connected to the primary differential gear for taking out a part of the driving force transmitted from the transmission 3 to the primary differential gear 11; a pair of propeller shafts 26 and 27 formed by dividing two parts in axial directions for transmitting part of the driving force from the transfer to a secondary differential gear 33; an electric motor 31 provided between these propeller shafts 26 and 27; and a pair of clutches 29 and 30, each connecting the electric motor 31 to one of the pair of propeller shafts 26 and 27. Therefore, the drive unit can be used for 2WD or 4WD hybrid vehicles without changing the main components.

    Abstract: A valve mechanism for an intake valve has a cam block including a first cam comprising a base circle and a second cam having a lobe and a base circle the diameter of which is equal to that of the base circle of the first cam. A first rocker arm engaging with the first cam and a second rocker arm engaging with the second cam are provided. The first and second rocker arms are rotatably engaged with each other so as to be independently rocked by corresponding cams, and have holes in which a lock pin engages to connect the first and second rocker arms with each other so as to be rocked together by the second cam. The system is arranged to engage and disengage the pin with and from both the holes of the first and second rocker arms at a time when both the rocker arms engage with the base circles at the same time.

    Abstract: A supercharging system has a turbocharger driven by exhaust-gas of the engine, a supercharger driven by an engine and communicated with the turbocharger and the engine in series. A clutch is provided in a device for driving the supercharger and a bypass having a control valve is provided around the supercharger. A control unit is provided to respond to engine operating conditions for operating the clutch and the control valve. The control unit operates to disengage the clutch at light load on the engine in a predetermined low engine speed range, to engage the clutch at heavy load in the low engine speed range, and to disengage the clutch in a predetermined high engine speed range. The control valve is gradually opened in accordance with variation of engine operation conditions when the engine operation is in a transient state.
