  • Publication number: 20060214569
Abstract: It is an object of the invention to avoid a contact between desiccating member(s) provided within a cover and an organic EL laminated body. An organic EL panel includes a substrate and an organic EL laminated body formed on the substrate. The organic EL laminated body includes a first electrode, an organic layer, and a second electrode, laminated one above another, with the organic layer interposed between the pair of electrodes, thereby forming an organic EL device. Further, a cover is bonded to the substrate by virtue of an adhesive agent, thereby covering the organic EL laminated body with the cover so as to protect the same from the outside air. Moreover, a desiccating member is provided within the cover 16 and separated from the organic EL laminated body. A concave portion U is formed on the exposed side (facing the organic EL laminated body) of the desiccating member.

  • Publication number: 20040189191
Abstract: It is an object of the invention to improve an outer appearance and the contrast of an organic EL display panel. An organic EL display panel includes a cover which has a transparency and is provided for enclosing organic EL device(s) formed on a substrate having a transparency. The display panel has transmission vision preventing means formed by providing at least colored portions in the cover. By virtue of non-luminescent areas located on the outside of the luminescent area, it is possible to prevent a poor outer appearance caused by the interior of the display panel visible from the outside of the panel.

  • Patent number: 5882761
Abstract: An organic electro-luminescent element is provided with a drying substance contained in an airtight container and spaced from the element in an internal space of the airtight container for absorbing moisture in the internal space. The drying substance comprises a solid compound which chemically absorbs the moisture and maintains its solid state even after absorbing the moisture.

  • Patent number: 4494288
Abstract: A method of mechanically producing in a continuous process a cross-fin type heat exchanger having a large fin pitch for use as a natural convection type radiator or a solar heat collector including heat collecting surfaces formed by bending the fins. A plurality of openings, respectively, accommodating a pipe therein, are formed in a continuous plate and the plate is cut into a plurality of strips of a width equal to a predetermined fin width. The strips are twisted through 90.degree. while being fed and set on a jig in such a manner that the openings formed in the strips are aligned in a straight line and the strips are spaced apart from one another by a predetermined fin pitch. The pipes are inserted in the openings in the strips in such a manner that each pipe extends through the openings in the adjacent strips set on the jig. The pipes are secured to the strips so that the strips serve as fins, and the strips are cut at any time as desired after being set on the jig.

  • Patent number: 4273811
Abstract: A method whereby slip is applied for providing an enamel coating to interior surfaces of a tank such as a heat exchanger of a hot water boiler, electric water heater and the like fabricated beforehand as by welding. In this method, a larger amount of slip than that actually required for applying the slip coating to the interior surfaces of the tank is introduced into the tank to be applied thereto with the tank being rotated, and the excess slip which has not been applied to the surfaces is forcedly drained from the tank at a rate higher than the rate at which the slip moves relative to the enameled surfaces and which moving rate is determined by the liquid level of the slip within the tank and the size of a discharge port, so that an enamel coating of a desired thickness can be formed on the interior surfaces of the tank. In order to forcedly drain the excess slip from the tank, pneumatic pressure is supplied to the interior of the tank prior to slip application.
