  • Publication number: 20090051511
Abstract: In a vehicle security system provide with intrusion determining means for transmitting a transmission wave in a vehicle, and determining, based on an output of a reflected wave of the transmission wave, whether or not a body intrudes into the vehicle and neighbor body determining means for detecting a body neighbor upon the vehicle, the intrusion determining means determines that the body does not intrude into the vehicle, when the output of the reflected wave is within a predetermined range, and also, the neighbor object detecting means detects the body neighbor upon the vehicle. Further, the transmission wave and the reflected wave may be transmitted and received on a front side of the vehicle, and the neighbor body detecting means may detect the body outside of the vehicle and also front-side neighbor upon the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20070200660
Abstract: Disclosed is an antitheft apparatus for a vehicle, which is installed on a vehicle and configured to allow operation of predetermined on-vehicle devices only when a user ID code obtained from a user of the vehicle and a reference ID code registered on the vehicle are identical. The antitheft apparatus is provided with a setting unit for adding or deleting the reference ID code to or from the vehicle and a transmitting unit for transmitting the reference ID code registered on the vehicle to a predetermined communications station. A vehicle antitheft system using such apparatus is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20070046444
Abstract: An alarm apparatus includes an electric conductor disposed at a window pane, a voltage supply device that supplies a voltage to the electric conductor, a voltage detection device that detects the voltage of the electric conductor, a disconnection determination device that makes a determination regarding a disconnected state of the electric conductor based on the detected voltage of the electric conductor, an alarm determination device that determines whether or not to perform alarming based on a result of determination of the disconnection determination device; and an alarm device that performs the alarming based on the determination by the alarm determination device. The alarm determination device has an alert mode of performing if the electric conductor is in the disconnected state, and a pre-alert mode of refraining from performing the alarming if the electric conductor is in the disconnected state.

  • Publication number: 20060232131
Abstract: A vehicle theft prevention system switches an engine from an immobilized state to a mobilized state when an ID code received from a mobile device carried by a user matches an ID code registered in advance, and keeps the engine in the immobilized state when the ID code received from the mobile device does not match the ID code registered in advance. Further, when a disable command is received from the center and it is detected that the vehicle is in an unused state based on a state of a predetermined signal indicative of states of the vehicle, the system immobilizes :he engine and prevents the engine from being switched from the established immobilized state to a mobilized state even if the ID code included in the signal received from the mobile device matches the ID code registered in advance by invalidating the ID code of the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 6766131
Abstract: A liquid electrophotographic developing apparatus including a developing unit with an elongated opening disposed adjacent to a photoreceptor and an air duct provided around the elongated opening. The air flow in the air duct has a predetermined air pressure to hold a liquid developer within a space substantially between the developing unit and the image-bearing surface while permitting toner particles in the liquid developer deposited on the image-bearing surface to be retained by the image—bearing surface and volatile solvent to be vaporized.

  • Patent number: 6070034
Abstract: In the particular embodiments described in the specification, a liquid electrophotographic developing arrangement includes four developing units disposed adjacent to the image-bearing surface of an electrophotographic member, each developing unit containing a different color developer. Each developing unit has an elongated slit through which developer is applied to the image-bearing surface of the electrophotographic member and the liquid developer is magnetically retained in the space between the developing unit and the surface of the electrophotographic member. In one embodiment, the developer is retained by a ferrofluid which surrounds the elongated opening and is held in position by magnets disposed on opposite sides of the electrophotographic member.
