  • Patent number: 5668819
Abstract: A mask control device is disclosed comprising an address generator which generates a random pattern address, a serial pattern address, and a pattern mode signal. Random pattern memories store random pattern expected and mask waveform data to be used for a random pattern test. Serial pattern memories store serial pattern expected and mask waveform data to be used for a serial pattern test. First and second pin selectors arrange the serial pattern expected and mask waveform data to generate serial pattern expected and mask waveform data corresponding to tester pins and generate serial mode designating signals designating pins to which the serial pattern test is to be applied. A selector selects the random pattern expected waveform data or the serial pattern expected waveform data generated by the first pin selector based on the serial mode designating signals. A comparator compares output waveform data obtained from the device under test (DUT) with the waveform data from the selector.

  • Patent number: 4885746
Abstract: A stuff (or dummy) pulse and a stuff designation pulse which indicates existence of nonexistence of the dummy pulse are inserted in a multiplexed pulse code modulation signal to convert an input signal frequency to a higher frequency. The frame synchronization pulse is used as the stuff designation pulse. • Patent number: 4754456
Abstract: A Multiplex system for further multiplexing signals output by low group multiplexers by means of a high group multiplexer. In this system, when at least one of the low group multiplexers is in a fault state, an alternating pattern signal is supplied to the high group multiplexer instead of the signal output by the faulty low group multiplexer, whereby the ratio of "0" and "1" of the signal output by the high group multiplexer becomes almost 1:1.

  • Patent number: 4638851
Abstract: An apparatus in which a metal strip is passed in contact partly around the outer circumferences of a number of spaced cooling rolls through which coolant passes. The apparatus includes temperature detectors for detecting the temperature of the strip before contact with each of the cooling rolls, and coolant temperature regulators controlled in accordance with the detected temperature of the strip to adjust the temperature of the coolant passing through each cooling roll to a range which limits the temperature drop of the strip such that unacceptable irregularities or distortions in the configuration of the strip cannot occur. The coolant used for each cooling roll is selected with a boiling point appropriate to the respective detected temperature for each roll. In the preferred arrangement, further temperature detectors are provided for each cooling roll to detect the temperature of the coolant, and output signals from both detectors are inputted to a control for regulating a flow rate valve.
