    Abstract: A lighting device includes a light emitting module and an optical element including first and second liquid crystal cells. Each of the first and second liquid crystal cells includes first and second transparent electrodes extending in a first direction and third and fourth transparent electrodes extending in a second direction. The light emitting module includes a light source, a light guide plate including an end surface into which light emitted from the light source is incident and a first surface from which the light incident into the end surface is emitted, and a prism sheet disposed opposite to the first surface. The second substrate of the first liquid crystal cell and the first substrate of the second liquid crystal cell are adjacent to each other. The first surface includes a plurality of first grooves extending in a third direction intersecting the first direction and the second direction.

The extension direction of the first strip electrode and the second strip electrode in the first liquid crystal cell is different from the extension direction of the first strip electrode and the second strip electrode in the second liquid crystal cell. The extension direction of the first strip electrode and the second strip electrode intersects with the extension direction of the third strip electrode and the fourth strip electrode at an angle other than 90°.

The ink jet recording medium including a first layer containing a polyolefin resin as a main component, a second layer containing an acid-modified olefin resin, and an ink-receiving layer is used, the ink-receiving layer being formed by applying an ink-receiving agent on the second layer after the first and second layers are laminated by a coextrusion laminating method.

The route calculation unit also calculates a recommended route, based on the read road map data from the map memory unit and the read route computation conditions from the initialization unit. The navigator further comprises a memory unit for storing the recommended route, and a vehicle guidance unit for detecting an approach to a junction on the recommended route, based on the vehicle location.

    Abstract: A gauge member is provided for mounting overlying a bamboo mat, wherein initially a seaweed sheet is mounted overlying the bamboo mat, the gauge is mounted overlying the seaweed sheet. Subsequently, a layer of rice is deposited within the gauge defined by a framework and filled within the gauge up to a predetermined marking. A layer of seafood is then deposited overlying the rice, whereupon the gauge is removed. Finally, the bamboo sheet is rolled and arced to enable rolling of the seaweed sheet containing the rice and seafood therewithin.
