  • Publication number: 20090244040
Abstract: The present invention provides a technique relating to a PDP and capable of canceling or reducing luminance unevenness due to voltage drop or the like. In a structure of the PDP, for example, two types of cells different in discharge timing are arranged in a zigzag manner on a screen. For example, the two types of cells have different discharge gap lengths because of a difference in areas and lengths of projections of electrodes of the respective cells. By the dispersion of discharge timings of cells, the voltage drop or the like is reduced. The design characteristic obtained by the arrangement pattern is superimposed on panel manufacture characteristic, whereby luminance unevenness is cancelled or reduced in display characteristic.

  • Patent number: 6489722
Abstract: A plasma display panel is provided in which a reliability of addressing is ensured, a flicker is reduced and the area that a cross talk can spread in the column direction is decreased so that a fluctuation of the display can be reduced. The plasma display panel has a first display electrode and a second display electrode that make an electrode pair for surface discharge. The first and the second display electrodes share one electrode for display of neighboring two rows. A partition is provided that divides a discharge gas space in the column direction only in the area where the first display electrode that is not used as a scanning electrode is positioned.

  • Patent number: 6404411
Abstract: The present specification and drawings disclose a technique to display image on the display panel using subfield. Particularly, it is disclosed that the technique for conducting the reset operation by impressing, to the electrode of cells, a plurality of reset pulses per one subfield in the subfield period for the reset operation and then conducting the address operation for selecting cells for display discharge. Further, it is disclosed that the display technique for causing the cells of display panel to conduct display discharge for image display through the reset operation and address operation. Namely, it is the technique for impressing the auxiliary pulse to the electrode of cells after impression of reset pulse for reset operation to form charges in inverse voltage to the scan pulse during the address operation and then conducting the address operation for selecting the cells for display discharge.

  • Publication number: 20020057941
Abstract: An insertion portion of a tube is inserted into a pipe through a tube-insertion aperture formed in the pipe, and the tube-insertion portion is secured to an inner surface of the pipe. The tube may be formed by coupling a pair of tube-forming members. The tube may be provided with a tube-insertion regulating portion at a side of a longitudinal end portion of the tube for regulating a tube-insertion-length relative to the pipe. The coupled pair of tube-forming members are brazed to each other, and that the tube-insertion portion is brazed to the pipe.

  • Patent number: 6320560
Abstract: A plasma display panel driving system having common X electrodes arranged on a front glass substrate driven in common, independent Y electrodes arranged parallel to the common X electrodes on the front glass substrate driven independently, address A electrodes arranged perpendicular to the common X electrodes and the independent Y electrodes on the back glass substrate driven independently, and means for performing at least one electric discharge for equalizing electrically charged particles in a cell in which another electrically charged particle is produced beforehand, thereby improving contrast. Erasing and polarization of electrically charged particles are performed by a fine line erasing pulse after a sustaining period, and an equalizing pulse having a high voltage level is supplied to the independent Y electrode to which the last fine line erasing pulse is supplied, and a regulating pulse is supplied to the common X electrode after supplying the equalizing pulse.

  • Patent number: 5109306
Abstract: A track access control system for a magnetic disc system including a magnetic disc having a plurality of servo tracks in a plurality of track zones divided in a radial direction, a logical to physical track address translation unit, a track offset update unit, and a control unit, to access a magnetic head at a physical track with offset correction. The track offset update may be carried out in an initial condition, or when a seek command is received. Also, the track offset update may be compulsorily effected when the update is not effected in a predetermined time. In this case, the system may output a virtual error data. In addition, the track offset update may be effected in response to a temperature change of the system.
