  • Publication number: 20080289369
Abstract: A washing machine which needs almost no space around a housing and which can be improved in workability for putting in and out washing loads. In a housing (1) having an opening portion (1a) is set a water tank (4) having an opening portion (4a) facing the opening portion (1a) of the housing (1). An unbendable first door (3) for opening and closing the first opening portion (1a) of the housing (1) can be accommodated generally entirely in lower portion of the housing (1) and slid vertically against the housing (1). The first door (3) is biased upward by flat spiral springs (10). The flat spiral springs (10) brake downward sliding of the first door (3).

  • Patent number: 6122843
Abstract: Drum washer-drier includes a drum rotating about a horizontal rotary axis, a water tank including drum, and outer tank resiliently supporting water tank. A plurality of suspending rods are suspended from an upper inner surface of outer tank, and water tank is resiliently supported by providing compression springs between spring receiving portions at lower ends of suspending rods and support receiving portions of water tank. Further, a damper generating a sliding resistance as the spring is expanded/compressed is provided at the lower end portion of suspending rod. At the time of dehydration, drum is rotated for a prescribed time period at a rotation speed higher than critical rotation speed of a fluid balancer but lower than a resonance rotation speed caused by resilient support, and thereafter high speed rotation starts. A structure for protecting the fluid balancer formed of synthetic resin during drying is also provided.

  • Patent number: 5353612
Abstract: A single-tub washing and dehydrating machine includes a microcomputer control means which, when the drain hole is blocked with laundries to be dehydrated in a dehydrating process to cause reduction of pressure inside an air trap and thereby a reset water level is detected erroneously, provides an error indication immediately after the detection, or controls the pulsator to effect a predetermined corrective operation for correcting the position of the laundries to be dehydrated inside the washing/dehydrating tub and thereafter provides an error indication if the correction is judged as impossible. Alternatively, the single-tub washing and dehydrating machine further includes a filter case having a plurality of slit holes, and a lint filter having a removable sack-shaped net while the lint filter is fitted detachably to the filter case.

  • Patent number: 5207764
Abstract: A washing/drying machine including a washtub, a feeding device for feeding water to the washtub, a draining device for draining water from the washtub, a tumbling drum, rotatably supported by a lateral axis in the washtub, having a plurality of holes through which air and water pass and an opening for introducing the washing, and a lid for closing the opening, a motor for rotating the drum at various speeds, a disc for agitating the washing, disposed in the drum adjacent to a flat end wall of the drum in parallel with the wall, a bearing device for rotatably bearing the disc, a fixing device for selectively fixing the disc, a device for supplying hot air to the drum, and a controller for controlling the fixing device to intermittently fix the disc against the rotation of the drum, and a controlling method thereof.
