  • Patent number: 5366581
Abstract: A film pasting apparatus for pasting a color separation film on a base film used for a photomechanical process, comprises a lower table for placing a base film and having optical sensors, an upper table disposed above the lower table and having suction means and pasting means, a film tray for storing a color separation film on which a first registration mark having two line segments defining a predetermined angle and a second registration mark having two line segments parallel to the two line segments of the first registration mark are formed at positions corresponding to the sensors, film picking means for inserting the film tray into the apparatus main body below the upper table to draw the color separation film to the upper table by the suction means, film registering means for withdrawing the film tray from the apparatus to detect the registration marks of the color separation film drawn to the upper table by using the sensors, for registering the color separation film based on a result of detection of th

  • Patent number: 4956703
Abstract: A color original is picked up by a pickup head and B, G, and R image signals are obtained and supplied to a color process circuit including masking correction, under-color removal, and gradation correction circuits. Y, M, C, and K image signals output from the color process circuit are supplied to an exposure head to form a color separation plate. A print simulation unit having first and second frame memories is connected in parallel with the color process circuit. The B, G, and R signals are also written into the first frame memory. The signal read out from the first frame memory is supplied to the color process circuit and is color-corrected. The output from the color process circuit is written into the second frame memory and output to a color monitor. The second frame memory stores two frames, and can display both frames on the color monitor for comparison.

  • Patent number: 4882622
Abstract: A silhouette cutting apparatus includes a two-dimensional image scanner for reading a color separation film, a frame memory for storing a read image signal, a CRT display for displaying an image of any color separation film selectively output from the frame memory, a pointer for displaying a cross mark at one point in a desired figure in a displayed image, a latch for latching color or brightness of a displayed point of the cross mark, a comparator for comparing the data from the latch with color or brightness of all other points of image signals of any separation film selectively output from the frame memory and detecting silhouette image information of the desired figure in accordance with whether or not their difference exceeds a predetermined value, and a cutting plotter for cutting a peel-off film in accordance with the detected silhouette image information.

  • Patent number: 4816903
Abstract: A film checking apparatus which picks up images of two master films placed on two transparent film tables, displays the obtained images thereof on a color monitor thereby allowing for checking of the master films. The apparatus aids the film checking by providing a device for comparing the master films, detecting for the differences and finally displaying the differences in a blinking manner. The apparatus also provides two light sources and a means to switching between the two light sources depending on whether the object is of transmissive-type or reflective-type.

  • Patent number: 4769696
Abstract: A scanner set-up simulation unit is connected to a color scanner which comprises a reading head for reading an image information of the color original wound on a reading drum and for producing color separation signals, a first gradation correction circuit for correcting a gradation of the color separation signals, and an exposure head for exposing color separation films wound on a recording drum based on the corrected color separation signals output from the first gradation correcting circuit. The simulation unit comprises a level adjusting circuit for adjusting the white and black levels of the color separation signals, an IC memory for storing the color separation signals from the level adjusting circuit, a second gradation correction circuit for correcting a gradation of the color separation signals read out from the IC memory, and a color display for simulating and displaying a printed reproduction based on the corrected color separation signals from the second correcting means.
