  • Patent number: 7234646
Abstract: A hot-water supply system heats water through heat exchange between high-temperature refrigerant of a heat pump circuit and water of a water circulating circuit. The system is an instantaneous water heater unit for instantaneously heating, at a water heat exchanger, water supplied through a water supply pipe and supplying hot water to a using end unit. Therefore, a large-capacity hot-water storage tank is not needed. Sufficient heat of condensation to heat water can not be produced, because pressure conditions of the heat pump circuit is not stabilized just after the start of operation. Therefore, during a short period of rising time, hot water stored in a hot-water supply tank and water from the water heat exchanger are mixed and the mixture is supplied to keep the hot water at a preset temperature. Therefore, it is possible to use a smaller hot-water supply tank.

  • Patent number: 6837443
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a compact lightweight heat pump hot-water supply system. The hot-water supply system heats water through heat exchange between high-temperature refrigerant of a heat pump circuit and water of a water circulating circuit. The system is an instantaneous water heater unit for instantaneously heating, at a water heat exchanger, water supplied through a water supply pipe and supplying hot water to a using end unit. In this system, therefore, large-capacity hot-water storage tank in conventional systems is no longer needed.

  • Patent number: 6355100
Abstract: An anti-corrosion agent for use with a cementitious composition which is to be reinforced, comprising one or more species selected from a group consisting of alkyldiamines represented by the general formula RHN—(CH2)n-NH2 (in which R is an alkyl having C8-22 atoms, and n is an integer of 1-5) and alkylamines represented by the general formula R—NH2 (in which R is an alkyl having C8-22 atoms). The agents give good anti-corrosion performance which does not decline with time and exposure to the elements to the same extent as is the case with conventional anti-corrosion agents.

  • Patent number: 4814241
Abstract: An electrolyte for a Redox flow battery contains from 1 to 4 normal hydrochloric acid and at least 0.5 mole/liter of an active material, and further contains from 0.1 to 4 normalities of an acid comprising an anion which does not inhibit the electrode reactions in addition to the hydrochloric acid. This electrolyte reduces the cell resistivity and improves the solubility of active materials.

  • Patent number: 4732827
Abstract: A process for producing an anolyte and a catholyte for redox cells which comprises the steps of heating chromium ore together with carbonaceous substances to produce a pre-reduced chromium product produced a part of iron and chromium in chromium ore, dissolving the pre-reduced chromium product in hydrochloric acid and/or sulfuric acid iron and chromium. Thus, the dissolving step can be simplified, the predetermined concentration can be simply regulated.

  • Patent number: 3972733
Abstract: Method for producing electrical energy by means of a liquid crystal device having opposite electrode plates between which a liquid crystal is inserted and at least one of which is transparent. The opposite electrode plates include asymmetrical electrodes thereon, at least the electrodes on the transparent plate being transparent. When a voltage is applied across any electrodes of the opposite plates an optical display is provided and when a light is directed to any selected transparent electrodes a voltage is induced between the transparent electrode and the corresponding electrodes on the other plate, to thereby provide a photo-electric converting property which can be used for display, position determination and logic operations etc. When a liquid crystal material which is a mixture of the compounds .rho.-methoxybenzal-.rho.-amino-.alpha.-methyl-cinnamic acid n-propyl-ester, .rho.-methoxybenzal-.rho.-acetoxyaniline, .rho.,.rho.
