  • Patent number: 6305548
Abstract: A discarded industrial product recycling system capable of acquiring pertinent data required for processings of discarded industrial products such as discarders, reception dates, persons responsible for disposal, disposal dates and so forth for selecting proper disposal for each of the discarded industrial products while automatizing the article data acquisition to a possible maximum for enhancing the enhance disposal rate. An electronic tag (radio-frequency identifier tag) is attached to each of discarded industrial products to allow data required for the processing to be written and read by readers/writers. At a time point and a place where a discarded industrial product is received, basic data required for the processing of that article is written in the electronic tag. Pertinent processing route for each of the manufactured articles is decided by reading the data from the electronic tag while writing additional data in the tag as occasion requires.

  • Patent number: 5228832
Abstract: A compressor is disclosed are disposed in which a diffuser flow passage is curved to a radial direction in the vicinity of an outlet of a mixed-flow impeller, and guide vanes are disposed in which each is of a height (projecting into the diffuser flow passage in a direction substantially transverse to the direction of flow) that is less than the meridional flow passage width such that the minimum inlet radius is larger than a maximum radius at the outlet of the mixed-flow impeller and are arranged in the form of a circular cascade at the curved portion on a flow passage surface of the diffuser plate located on a shroud side. Thus, it is possible to keep uniform the flow within the diffuser and to enhance the performance of the compressor. In addition, the axial length of the compressor may be shortened to thereby make the compressor compact in size.

  • Patent number: 5178516
Abstract: A centrifugal compressor has diffusers which convert a high velocity, low pressure stream of fluid which flows out of an impeller to a high-velocity high-pressure flow due to the action of a purality of stator blades disposed near the outer periphery of the impeller. In this compressor, the portion of the stator blade or of an auxiliary blade which is provided in the diffuser located on the side of a front shroud is disposed closer to the impeller than the portion thereof located on the side of a main shroud, and the leading edge of the stator blade is thus inclined from the portion thereof located on the side of the main shroud to the portion thereof located on the side of the front shroud. The configuration of the front edge of a stator blade or of an auxiliary blade which is provided in the diffuser is so improved as to restrict back flow which occurs on the side of the front shroud when the flow rate is small and to lower the minimum flow rate.

  • Patent number: 4615260
Abstract: A pneumatic actuator includes an elastic tubular body, closure members sealingly closing its ends and a braided structure made of braided cords reinforcing the tubular body. The braided structure is expanded in its radial direction and simultaneously contracted in its axial direction together with the tubular body when pressurized fluid is supplied into the tubular body. According to the invention the braided cords of the braided structure comprises monofilaments each having a smoothly rounded outer surface of a large radius of curvature. A protective layer may be provided between the tubular body and the braided structure or a filler such as an incompressible fluid substance having no constant shape is provided in the tubular body, or diameters of both ends of the braided structure and braided angles at both the ends are made larger than those at a substantially mid portion of the braided structure.

  • Patent number: 4066298
Abstract: A capsule having a cylindrical shell for containing goods to be transported, and a cover member adaped to be fitted over one end of the shell. The cover member is made from a flexible material and is provided on the leading end of the shell. The provision of the cover member of a flexible material avoids damage to or deformation of the capsule which would otherwise be caused by collision against the preceding or the next following capsule, and reduces the resistance offered to the movement of the capsule by the tubular passageway through which the capsule is moved.
