  • Patent number: 8194942
Abstract: In view of the fact that the reproducibility of a finger vein pattern is deteriorated in an image of the finger vein due to external scattered light, displacement, change in the amount of blood flow and the like, a multiple-valued pattern matching method is adopted so that such changes can be dealt with by converting a data map itself into a multiple-valued map.

  • Patent number: 5353379
Abstract: In an information reproducing apparatus, a sound generator generates an indication audio signal corresponding to an external operation state and a performance state to produce it externally without conversion or with conversion into sound. As a result, a wide variety of sounds or voice sounds acting as a warning sound against an erroneous operation and a caution sound telling performance termination are produced and hence an information of warning or caution concerning the operation can be supplied to an user and further can be used as an effective sound.

  • Patent number: 5311324
Abstract: An image reproduction apparatus with a plurality of disk players which concurrently perform play operation so as to produce a plurality of division video format signal concurrently. The video format signal are combined into a signal/final video format signal. The respective frame numbers extracted from the respective division video format signals are compared with the corresponding designated frame numbers. When the extracted frame number and the designated frame number do not coincide to each other, the corresponding division video format signal is ignored in the synthesis operation for producing the final video format signal.

  • Patent number: 5297113
Abstract: The reading position of a first reading head jumps when it is located in a vertical blanking period section of a video disc and the reading position of a second reading head jumps when it is located outside a predetermined portion of the vertical blanking period section in which a PCM audio signal is recorded. An output of the first reading head that is produced by reading sections other than the vertical blanking period section is employed as a video reading signal, and an output of the second reading head that is produced by reading the vertical blanking period section is employed as an audio reading signal.

  • Patent number: 5260801
Abstract: A video format signal recording and reproducing method wherein a plurality of division video signals are obtained by dividing a single video format signal and are recorded onto a plurality of recording media, set indication ID numbers are recorded. When the division video signals are reproduced from the recording media, the set indication ID numbers are automatically discriminated. Only when the set indication ID numbers coincide each other, the reproducing operation of the single video format signal is executed.

  • Patent number: 5134500
Abstract: A disk player is provided in which clock pulses of a frequency corresponding to the frequency of a synchronizing signal separated from a video signal obtained from the disk is generated and a disk code separated from the video signal is demodulated by the clock pulses, which makes it possible to perform a search operation in a short time.

  • Patent number: 5084859
Abstract: A multimagazine disc player includes an array of magazines removably stored therein each for holding a plurality of discs, and a playback means movable and positionable in alignment with one of the magazines at a time for playing back a selected one of the discs contained in the magazine. The discs stored in the magazines can selectively be played back automatically, and can also easily be replaced with other discs not stored in the disc player. The multimagazine disc player also has a magazine presence/absence detecting means for detecting whether each magazine is loaded or not, so that a wasteful time which would otherwise be consumed by moving the playback means to a position where no magazine is loaded can be eliminated.

  • Patent number: 4969135
Abstract: In a system of alternately operating a plurality of disk players, when the pickup of a first one of the disk players comes near the last address of the last address of the last of the pieces of music recorded, as data signals on a data recording disk, a second disk player is activated so that it is in standby state at the beginning of a piece of music which is the first in the order of pieces of music to be played by the second disk player. Immediately after the last address of the last piece of music is read by the first disk player, the second disk player is caused to play the piece of music.
