  • Publication number: 20240103268
Abstract: To provide a head-up display device that may reduce distortions of displayed virtual images while reducing loads on a control unit. A head-up display outputs display light to a windshield mounted on a vehicle to display virtual images and includes a display device including a display surface that outputs the display light, and a prism that transmits the display light output from the display surface, and the prism includes an incidence surface on which the display light from the display surface is incident, and an output surface that outputs the display light incident on the prism from the incidence surface.

  • Patent number: 10782521
Abstract: The present invention makes it possible to reduce a difference in resolution between respective regions of a virtual image while reducing distortion of an image. A translucent screen is disposed to be inclined with respect to an optical axis of projection light such that a difference between a first optical path length to a first reflection part of the display light emitted from a first end far from display light reflected toward a second reflection part by the first reflection part, and a second optical path length of display light emitted from a second end closer to reflected toward the second reflection part by the first reflection part than the first end becomes smaller.

  • Patent number: 10302940
Abstract: Provided is a head-up display which facilitates the differentiation of information contained in a stereoscopic display and which enables display having a stereoscopic effect, by rotating either a first display surface of a first image generation unit corresponding to a first virtual image display surface, or a reflection unit for aiming first display light emitted from the first image generation unit at a front window shield (transmission/reflection unit), to change the angle formed by the first virtual image display surface and a second virtual image display surface.

  • Publication number: 20170299922
Abstract: A head-up display device projects display light from a display including a backlight unit and a liquid crystal display element on a viewpoint area of a viewer via projection means and causes an image by the display light to be visually recognized. The backlight unit includes: a light source emitting light for illuminating the liquid crystal display element; a lens array including a plurality of lenses, and dividing the light from the light source and generating a plurality of images of the light source; and light gathering means which gather the light from the images of the light source such that the light corresponds to a display area of the liquid crystal display element, wherein the lens array is configured such that the light distribution angles of the lenses at the periphery thereof are different from the light distribution angles of the lenses at the center thereof.
