    Abstract: This invention proposes a picture signal read system for facsimile equipment which reads picture data while the manuscript is being shifted when the send time of a line is short.When reading picture data while shifting the manuscript paper, the amount of charges accummulated by the image sensor becomes insufficient. In such a case, discrimination of picture signals with a fixed threshold level TH may cause misreading of picture data. For this reason, the threshold level control circuit is provided in order to shift the threshold level in accordance with the send time of a line.
