  • Publication number: 20210145042
Abstract: A flavorant-containing sheet manufacturing apparatus includes: a feeding apparatus configured to feed a gelled flavorant-containing sheet; a slit-forming portion configured to form one or more slits having a depth corresponding to an entirety or part of a thickness of the flavorant-containing sheet along a feed direction of the flavorant-containing sheet; and a drier configured to dry the flavorant-containing sheet in which the slits are formed.

  • Patent number: 7802578
Abstract: A shredded tobacco supply device for a cigarette manufacturing machine includes a separation throat (20) diverging from a gravity chute (18) through which shredded tobacco is let fall down, and an extension (68) extending from the outlet (20b) of the separation throat (20) and forming an air confluent nozzle (69) in cooperation with the trough bottom (38) of a fluid bed trough (36). The air confluent nozzle (69) produces a transport flow by joining together primary and secondary air jets J1 and J2 used for winnowing the shredded tobacco, and the transport flow causes a shred mixture obtained by the winnowing to be conveyed along a conveyance surface (38) toward a tobacco band.

  • Patent number: 6125853
Abstract: A flavor generation article including a pipe incorporating a heat reservoir and a formed body serving as a flavor generation medium. The pipe is inserted in an insertion hole of a connection plug, and the connection plug is mounted in a mount hole of a socket. The socket has first and second terminals respectively connected to the two terminals of a power supply. The heat reservoir and formed body in the pipe are heated by a coil heater disposed in the connection plug. When the heater maintains a predetermined temperature for a predetermined period of time, a projection of the mount hole is thermally deformed to be retreated. The connection plug is moved from a mount position by the action of the potential-restoration force of a coil spring and projects from a mount hole integrally with the pipe.
