  • Patent number: 7530695
Abstract: Aspects of the invention can provide a projector that can include a light source unit, an optical modulation element that modulates light from the light source unit on the basis of image data, a light adjusting unit that adjusts the amount of light incident on the light modulation element from the light source unit, and a control unit that controls the light modulation element and the light adjusting unit. The control unit can perform light adjustment control to adjust the amount of light according to a luminance distribution pattern of image data for the light adjusting unit and can perform correction control to correct display irregularity of image data based on the adjustment of the amount of light for the light modulation element.
