  • Patent number: 10136772
Abstract: A toilet seat includes a body, a bottom plate, and a joining member. The body includes a seating part and a side wall part. The side wall part extends from each of an inner end and an outer end of the seating part. The bottom plate includes a bottom plate part and a protrusion part. The bottom plate part and the seating part face each other. The protrusion part protrudes laterally from the bottom plate part and is configured to be pressed by an end of the side wall part. The joining member joins the body and the bottom plate. The joining member is formed of a filling material poured to closely contact a side surface of the bottom plate part and a non-pressing surface other than a surface pressing the protrusion part on the end of the side wall part.

  • Patent number: 7189002
Abstract: In a hydrostatic gas bearing for use in a vacuum, in order to provide a hydrostatic gas bearing in which an increase in the quantity of gas being discharged during the movement of a moving body is reduced, the surface of a guide shaft of a fixed body and/or the surface of the moving body is subjected to processing for reducing adhesion of gas molecules, for example, by coating the surface(s) with a material having a low adhesion probability of gas molecules, by which the quantity of gas being discharged is decreased.

  • Patent number: 5372359
Abstract: A sheet feeding apparatus for intermittently feeding sheets one by one into printing equipment. The apparatus comprises a sheet pickup roller fixed to a rotatable drive shaft, a pair of cylindrical rollers rotatably and coaxially coupled to the drive shaft and disposed at both sides of the sheet pickup roller, and a pad biased by a spring to be pressed against the sheet pickup roller and the cylindrical rollers. The sheet pickup roller has a cross section comprising an arc portion and a chord portion to substantially form a semicylindrical configuration. Also included in the apparatus is a projection provided at the chord portion of the sheet pickup roller. The projection is arranged to come into contact with the sheet over a range from a contact point between the sheet pickup roller and the pad to one end portion of the arc portion which acts as a leading portion at which the sheet pickup roller initially comes into contact with the sheet when rotating in a predetermined direction.
