  • Patent number: 11906077
Abstract: A filler pipe for suppressing swelling deformation caused by fuel, and a manufacturing method thereof. A resin filler pipe has a bellows section, including peaks and valleys, and an ordinary section, not including the bellows section, and is provided with at least inner layers, barrier layers, and outer layers. In the ordinary section, the inner layer is thinner than the outer layer, and the rate of increase in the proportion of the inner layer in the peaks of the bellows section with respect to the proportion of the inner layer in the ordinary section is equal to or less than the rate of increase in the proportion of the outer layer in the peaks of the bellows section with respect to the proportion of the outer layer in the ordinary section.

  • Patent number: 10605386
Abstract: Provided is a method that is for attaching a filler pipe. The method for attaching a filler pipe attaches a filler pipe to the aperture of a fuel tank with an attachment member therebetween, and is characterized by containing: a fitting step for fitting the tubular attachment member to the inside of the aperture of the filler pipe; a contact step for contacting, to the surface at the periphery of the aperture of the fuel tank, a first flange protruding outwards in the radial direction from the outer peripheral surface of the attachment member, and a second flange protruding outwards in the radial direction from the outer peripheral surface of the filler pipe; and a welding step for welding the first flange and second flange to the surface.

  • Patent number: 10597283
Abstract: An erroneous refueling prevention device restricts or allows insertion of a refueling gun into a refueling passage depending on an outer diameter of the refueling gun. The device includes a flap configured to open or close the refueling passage by a turn of the flap about a first turn pivot; and a switch configured to be unlocked from the flap by a turn of the flap to a half-opened state, and to turn about a second turn pivot. The switch includes a protrusion detector configured to, in response to the turn, project to a position where the protrusion detector faces the refueling passage. The switch restricts or allows a turn of the flap from the half-opened state to a fully-opened state, depending on a turn amount of the switch to be determined by a contact relationship between the protrusion detector and the refueling gun.

  • Patent number: 10549630
Abstract: An erroneous fuel feed prevention device includes paired flaps having a surface slanted relative to a direction of insertion of a fuel feeding nozzle. A turn shaft part, a support hole, and paired extension portions are provided. A first biasing member is configured to bias flaps of the paired extension portions to turn in a closing direction. A first restriction portion and a second restriction portion are configured to restrict the flaps from turning in an opening direction. While slanted surfaces are pressed by the fuel feeding nozzle, each of the flaps slide outward in radial directions of the fuel feed passage to release turning restriction states of the first restriction portion and the second restriction portion, and after the release, the flaps turn in an integrated manner with the extension portions being in contact with the respective other flaps.

  • Patent number: 9821652
Abstract: A structure for opening and closing a fuel filler opening having a main flap and a dust flap that are opened or closed in accordance with insertion or removal of a fuel gun to a filler pipe. The dust flap is arranged at an outer end side with respect to the main flap, and is constituted by a plurality of flaps arranged flush with each other. The dust flap is opened such that ends of the respective flaps are separated from each other by the fuel gun inserted into the filler pipe.
