Patent number: 6907126Abstract: In an encryption-decryption apparatus, a transmitting apparatus encrypts input data to output encrypted data. A network transmits the encrypted data. A receiving apparatus takes as input the encrypted data transmitted through the network, and decrypts the data to send output data. A variable configuration processing circuit encrypts the input data. A ROM outputs circuit data serving as a secret key to the variable configuration processing circuit. Another variable configuration processing circuit decrypts the encrypted data. Another ROM outputs circuit data serving as a secret key to the variable configuration processing circuit. This enables a change in hardware according update of an encryption-decryption algorithm, and more rapid processing of the encryption-decryption operation.Type: GrantFiled: April 18, 2001Date of Patent: June 14, 2005Assignee: NEC CorporationInventor: Takeshi Inada

Patent number: 6067838Abstract: A rod-shaped work made of metal is set into a forging die having a cavity where a load is applied to the rod-shaped work in the axial direction thereof and a twist is generated therein during an upset forging process so that an expanded portion is formed. This makes it possible to prevent generation of an underfill portion in the expanded portion which cannot be removed by a drawing process.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 1998Date of Patent: May 30, 2000Assignee: Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Teruki Kameda, Takeshi Inada

Patent number: 5895324Abstract: An axially-extendable-bolt forming process by upsetting includes preparing a die having a through bore, and an internal upsetting cavity and a buffer space, a rod-shaped bolt precursor and a knock-out member, primarily pressing a leading end of the bolt precursor onto a leading end of the knock-out member, and secondarily pressing the bolt precursor onto the knock-out member. In the preparing step, the bolt precursor and knock-out member are fitted into the through bore of the die so that they can be brought into contact with each other. In the primarily-pressing step, the leading end of the bolt precursor is swollen finely and is brought into contact with an inner peripheral surface of the through bore of the die so that an excess material, being present adjacent to a leading-end surface of the bolt precursor, is flowed out into the buffer space.Type: GrantFiled: August 11, 1997Date of Patent: April 20, 1999Assignee: Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Takeshi Inada

Patent number: 5795234Abstract: In a process for forming a bolt, a die, a rod-shaped knock-out member, and a punch are prepared. The die has opposite end surfaces, a through bore opened to one of the opposite end surfaces, and a space connected with the through bore and disposed substantially perpendicular to an axial line of the through bore. The knock-out member is disposed in the through bore. The punch is disposed so as to face one of the opposite end surfaces of the die to which the through bore is opened. A bolt precursor is fitted into the through bore of the die at the leg member, and is pressed by the punch at the head member. The leading end of the leg member is pressed by the knock-out member, and accordingly an excess material of the bolt precursor at around the leading end of the leg member, or an excess material thereof adjacent to the leading end of the leg member is deformed and flowed into the space of the die as a thinned-out portion. Thus, the bolt precursor can be flattened at the leading-end surface of the leg member.Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 1996Date of Patent: August 18, 1998Assignee: Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Takeshi Inada, Munechika Nakane

Patent number: 5706697Abstract: A process of ironing a thread formation shaft portion of a work for bolt having a cylindrical portion and the thread formation shaft portion in axial alignment. The process comprises the steps of supporting the cylindrical portion of the work in radial directions and in a zero clearance state, and moving the thread formation shaft portion in the axial direction relative to a shaft portion ironing die, the supporting step and the moving step being executed simultaneously.Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 1996Date of Patent: January 13, 1998Assignee: Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Takeshi Inada
