  • Publication number: 20020034215
Abstract: A path search unit (1) detects the correlation between a received signal and a desired signal; (2) based on the correlation value, selects a plurality of paths over which the desired signal arrives; (3) if the difference between the detection time of the desired signal arriving via a path selected this time and the previous-time detection signal is within an allowable range, judges that the path selected this time is identical to a path previously allocated to prescribed finger units, and (4) if a path is identical, causes despreading and delay adjustment processing of the desired signal arriving over the selected path to be executed by the same finger unit as previously. A timing control unit calculates the difference between the detection time this time, over the identical path, and a reference time, and, based on the total of the time differences over the identical path, controls the timing lead/lag.

  • Publication number: 20010004932
Abstract: A method of continuously casting molten metal has the step of feeding molten metal into a mold to produce a casting continuously while generating an electromagnetic field in the mold by applying a high frequency to the mold. The application of the high frequency is controlled in such a manner that a magnitude of an electromagnetic field which is applied to a solidification shell forming start location of the mold becomes equal to or greater than a minimum required flux density to be applied to the mold. The minimum required flux density is determined according to the following equation: 1 B min = 1130 × t n - 5 ⁢ f × ( t n - 0.

  • Patent number: 5818150
Abstract: A generator section and a pair of drive sections are disposed along the lengthwise of a piezoelectric ceramic plate. The one pair of drive sections are disposed at both ends or at one end of the plate and have a pair of electrodes for each. The piezoelectric ceramic plate in the drive sections are polarized oppositely in direction and connected to a pair of external terminals. The generator section has two pairs of opposed electrodes which are polarized oppositely from the center along the lengthwise of the plate. The two pairs of opposed electrodes are respectively short-circuited and connected to external terminals. A voltage can be taken out from between the external terminals of the generator section at the vibration nodes when the piezoelectric ceramic plate in the drive section is vibrated by applying an AC voltage to between the input terminals on the drive section side at the resonance frequency of the fourth-order mode longitudinal vibration in lengthwise.
