  • Publication number: 20040222875
Abstract: A blade fuse holder configured to have a reduced overall height. The blade fuse holder has a housing that accommodates a pair of contacts. The pair of contacts each has a pair of opposing contact arms that extend from a base part. The pair of opposing contact arms each has a contact projection in a position corresponding to a cut-out formed in the base part so that a distal end of a blade fuse that has been inserted between the pair of opposing contact arms is received in the cut-out.

  • Publication number: 20040182178
Abstract: A sensor coil 10 serving as a sensor unit fitted and retained in a sensor retaining hole 32 of a sensor housing 3 and a circuit board 5 stored in a board chamber 30 provided inside the sensor housing 3 are integrated by coating the outer surface of a lead 13 and the circuit board 5 with a resin layer 17 formed by resin molding performed under the condition in which the sensor coil 10 and the circuit board 5 are connected with the lead 13. As a result, mounting of the sensor unit and the circuit board of a torque detecting apparatus in the housing is facilitated, the reliability of the connection part of the sensor unit and the circuit board is increased, and occurrence of connection defects due to the function of external force is prevented.

  • Publication number: 20040096642
Abstract: In producing a product foamed molding by molding into a specified shape a foamed product obtained by foaming a kneaded product obtained by kneading a fibrous material with an aqueous solution, followed by drying, an aqueous solution in which a binder mainly composed of gelatin and/or glue having a jelly strength of 130 Bloom or more is dissolved is used as the aqueous solution, whereby the generation of depressions in a pockmark form on a surface of the product foamed molding can be prevented to increase the yield of the product, and the specific gravity of the product can be reduced, thus being able to produce the foamed molding such as a cushioning material excellent in elastic performance economically, continuously and in large amounts.

  • Publication number: 20040069559
Abstract: In an electric power steering system, a second bevel gear is allowed to move toward a first bevel gear and is biased by a biasing member toward the first bevel gear thereby to be moved toward the first bevel gear as following the wearing away of these bevel gears.

  • Patent number: 6702862
Abstract: A method for stabilizing a cloth comprises a moisture controlling step S1 of adding water to the cloth and a thermal pressing step S2 of thermally pressing the water-added cloth. The water added in the moisture controlling step is vaporized to cover up the entire cloth and therefore the cloth can be heated uniformly. When temperature of the cloth increases, the moisture works as a lubricant, enabling to release internal stress of the cloth efficiently. By thermally pressing, a structure of the cloth under the heated state is fixed by the pressure applied in the pressing operation, making possible to stabilize the cloth while preventing excessive shrinkage of the cloth and increasing smoothness of cloth surfaces.

  • Patent number: 6456683
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for deionizing water are disclosed. A condensate in the secondary cooling water system in a PWR nuclear power plant is passed through a mixture of an anion exchange resin and a cation exchange resin having a crosslinking degree of about 12 to 16%. The cation exchange resin has an improved, ion exchange capacity. thereby decreasing the frequency of changing the condensate.

  • Patent number: 5431824
Abstract: The improved organic polymeric adsorbent is used to adsorb and remove suspended impurities present in trace amounts in the water being treated in an apparatus for producing ultrapure water for use in the semiconductor industry or in a condensate purifier in steam power generating facilities and it is composed of a particulate or powdered cation exchange resin and/or anion exchange resin. The improvement is that this adsorbent has such a surface layer structure and morphology that granules are seen to bind with one another when examined under a scanning electron microscope in a field of view ranging from a magnification of 50 to 200,000. The adsorbent may be used as the constituent of a packing layer and/or a filter layer to make a material for removing suspended impurities.

  • Patent number: 5387348
Abstract: A method of mixed-bed filtration and demineralization for removing suspended impurities from the primary cooling water in a power plant by means of a demineralizer having a mixed bed formed of a particulate cation and anion exchange resin that have such a surface layer structure that granules are seen to bind with one another under microscopic examination, being able to be operated in a safe and yet economical manner by virtue of established conditions for operating processes, such as regeneration of the demineralizer by backwashing and by passage of chemicals and also, replacement of the demineralizer.
