  • Publication number: 20050128899
Abstract: The present invention provides a disk player which includes a switch for detecting that a pickup is positioned for reading signals as opposed to the middle position between a content signal recording area and a reference information recording area. The pickup is moved to an inner periphery of the disk for a predetermined period of time from the time of detection detected by the switch, upon a command given to read information from the reference information recording area. Then the pickup is restrained from moving further by a stopper, upon the pickup reaching the position opposed to the reference information recording area.

  • Patent number: 6169720
Abstract: A disk playback device has a front panel pivoted at a lower end thereof to a lower end portion of an open front side of a cabinet, and a slide panel movable into and out of the cabinet along guide slots in the opposite side walls of the cabinet. The slide panel has a fitting pin and a slide pin projecting from each side face thereof and fitting respectively in an elongated hole in each of the side walls of the front panel and in the guide slots of each cabinet side wall. The slide panel is slidable along the guide slots with the opening and closing of the front panel. When the front panel is in a completely opened position, the fitting pin is positioned at a lower level than the guide slot, and the slide panel is exposed inclinedly from the cabinet with a recessed surface which receives the disk facing upwardly.

  • Patent number: 5754502
Abstract: A magazine for accommodating a plurality of disks positioned upright is rotatably mounted on a chassis covered with a cabinet. An escape preventing ring is provided above the chassis outside the magazine, and the cabinet is formed in a side wall thereof with an opening for withdrawing a disk from the magazine therethrough. The ring has a cutout portion positioned as opposed to a closure. Attached to the closure is a slipping-off preventing piece fittable in the cutout portion when the closure is fitted in the opening. A shaft provided upright in the vicinity of the opening carries an auxiliary gear meshable with an annular toothed face of the magazine. The slipping-off preventing piece has a projecting piece for moving the gear away from the toothed face when the closure is fitted in the opening.

  • Patent number: 5119357
Abstract: In a disc player according to the present invention, a single motor mounted on a chassis is coupled to a disc transport mechanism through a first power transmission system and to a pickup transport mechanism through a second power transmission system. The disc player includes a pickup restraining mechanism for restraining the pickup from moving upon the pickup reaching one end of path of its travel where the pickup is to be restrained. Approximately when the pickup reaches the path end, the restraining mechanism is coupled to the first power transmission system and thereby moved from a first position to a second position, where the restraining mechanism is coupled to the pickup transport mechanism to restrain the pickup at the path end.
