Abstract: According to one embodiment, a satellite communication apparatus includes a first unit including a power supply unit configured to supply a power source and a first motor configured to rotate a supporting column in a horizontal direction, a motor unit including a second motor configured to control an elevation angle of the supporting column with respect to the first unit, and a second unit supported by the supporting column and including a third motor configured to adjust a polarization angle of an antenna, a magnetic sensor arranged to be less susceptible to a magnetic field of the third motor, and a control device to control the first motor or the second motor before calibration of the magnetic sensor.
