  • Publication number: 20120252589
Abstract: A constant velocity joint includes a cylindrical outer cup which has three guide grooves on an inner wall surface thereof, and an inner member which is housed inside of the aforementioned outer cup and has three trunnions. The aforementioned guide grooves are formed to have a large width and to be close to the center of the aforementioned outer cup, and the aforementioned trunnions are formed to have a large width corresponding to the aforementioned guide grooves. Further, annular rollers are mounted on the periphery of the trunnions, and the periphery surfaces of the aforementioned rollers contact rolling surfaces of the aforementioned guide grooves.

  • Patent number: 6435972
Abstract: A constant velocity universal joint comprises a plurality of trunnions which are formed to be spherical, sliding surfaces which extend in a flat configuration along an axial direction of an outer cup, and pairs of slipper members having one side surfaces which are formed with recesses for making contact with spherical surfaces of the trunnions and the other side surfaces which are formed with flat surfaces to make contact with the sliding surfaces, wherein the pair of slipper members are provided slidably with respect to the sliding surface and the spherical surface of the trunnion.
