  • Patent number: 6401177
Abstract: A memory system has a plurality of memory banks, performs interleaving between the memory banks, and structures a memory by dividing into a plurality of memory blocks which are independently operable. The memory system includes a first address conversion table and a second address conversion table. The first address conversion table is referred by an Operating System and is controllable by dividing an absolute address space into each unit memory capacity. The second address conversion table designates the memory bank and the memory block so that the memory bank and the memory block are commonly used between memory units which forms the interleaving to each other on the basis of an output value of the first address conversion table and the number of the interleaving.

  • Patent number: 6033722
Abstract: An electrode plate in which electrode active material powder and an electrode mixture layer mainly composed of a thermoplastic binder are held on a conductive substrate is crushed. Then, the crushed materials are mixed with organic solvent so that a coating material made of the crushed electrode is prepared. The coating material made of the crushed electrode is applied to the surface of the conductive substrate so that an electrode is manufactured. As an alternative to this, an electrode mixture coating material made of electrode active material powder, thermoplastic resin and organic solvent is dried so that a solid electrode is obtained. Crushed materials obtained by crushing the solid electrode are mixed with organic solvent so that a coating material made of the crushed electrode is prepared. The coating material made of the crushed electrode is applied to the conductive substrate so that an electrode is manufactured.

  • Patent number: 5767649
Abstract: A motor load switching system in which a single motor with a single control circuit drives a plurality of different-sized loads by sequentially switching from one load to another. A parameter storage device stores a plurality of parameter sets which are optimized for respective loads. In response to a load switching command, motor control device selects a corresponding parameter set from the parameter storage device and controls the motor according to the selected parameter set. Simultaneously, a load switching device couples the motor with a new load selected from the plurality of the loads.

  • Patent number: 5446454
Abstract: In order to ascertain the current revision levels of a plurality of plug-in boards which have been inserted into a digital data processing system, a plurality of number generators are respectively mounted on the plug-in boards. Each of the number generators retains the current revision level of the corresponding plug-in board, and produces current revision level data. A display is operatively coupled to the number generators and receives the revision level data therefrom and exhibits the current revision levels of the plug-in boards. Further, each of the revision levels is checked to see if it is confined within a range of revision levels which are available for the data processing system. The check results are also exhibited on the display. Still further, in the event that: (a) a given revision level is detected outside the revision level range and (b) the plug-in board is found dispensable, the board is logically disconnected from the data processing system.

  • Patent number: 4599516
Abstract: A specimens rotating device including a cooling source located in the central portion of a rotary plate, and a plurality of specimens arranged in the peripheral portion of the rotary plate in a manner to surround the cooling source. A plurality of heat pipes are arranged between the cooling source and the specimens so that each heat pipe is secured at one end to the cooling source and at the other end to one of the specimens. Each heat pipe has a working fluid sealed therein and its one end is exposed in a cooling fluid in a channel in the cooling source. Upon rotation of the rotary plate, the specimens are rotated along with the rotary plate, and the working fluid in the heat pipes is shifted toward the specimens.

  • Patent number: 4399365
Abstract: An ion implant chamber for an ion implantation system is disclosed in which first and second discs are arranged concentrically and can be simultaneously rotated, the first disc is provided on a circle thereon with a plurality of wafer receiving recesses each having different diameters at both surfaces of the first disc to prevent a wafer from passing through the recess, and ions impinge upon the wafer through the end of the recess having a smaller diameter; in which when wafers have been loaded in the wafer receiving recesses, the second disc is pressed against the first disc and the wafers are held by the first and second discs, since the second disc is movable in the axial direction thereof; and in which the ion implant chamber can be separated into at least two parts, the first one of the parts can move together with the second disc, and the exchange of wafers is made through a gap between the parts thus separated.

  • Patent number: 4383178
Abstract: A system for driving a rotary member for implanting ions into wafers of semiconductor devices includes a first vacuum chamber receiving the rotary member connected to a rotary shaft through a vacuum seal supported in the central portion of a shield which defines a part of the first vacuum chamber, and a second vacuum chamber receiving a peripheral portion of a shield in airtight relation. The shield is supported by two pairs of O-rings mounted in the second vacuum chamber and arranged in juxtaposed relation on opposite sides of the peripheral portion of the shield. The O-rings provide a hermetical seal to the first and second vacuum chambers. A motor is operatively connected to the rotary shaft for rotating the rotary member, and the shield is connected to another motor through a nut-and-screw arrangement.
