Patent number: 4610211Abstract: An electronic sewing machine is disclosed in which a first memory stores a plurality of patterns, a second memory temporarily memorizes pattern numbers each specific to the patterns, a first switch and address pointing means enable the second memory to memorize a series of selected pattern numbers, and a second switch resets the address pointing means. The address pointing means also advances the address of the second memory such that a display indicates the pattern numbers one after the other in the desired order.Type: GrantFiled: May 25, 1984Date of Patent: September 9, 1986Assignee: Janome Sewing Machine Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hachiro Makabe, Haruhiko Tanaka, Takeshi Kongoh

Patent number: 4599962Abstract: A control circuit of an electronic sewing machine is operated such that, in response to a pulse signal determining the common base stitching line of a selected combination of stitch patterns having different base stitching lines, a corresponding base stitching line control data is read out from an electronic memory for producing the selected combination of stitch patterns in series in reference to the single base stitching line thus determined.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 1984Date of Patent: July 15, 1986Assignee: Janome Sewing Machine Industry Co., Ltd.Inventors: Takeshi Kongoh, Haruhiko Tanaka

Patent number: 4596201Abstract: In an electronic sewing machine, a pattern data memory has memory locations which are accessed in such a manner that address signals are prepared at random. These random address signals are used as stitch data to produce a specific version of a selected pattern.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 1984Date of Patent: June 24, 1986Assignee: Janome Sewing Machine Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hachiro Makabe, Takeshi Kongoh, Haruhiko Tanaka

Patent number: 4572095Abstract: An electronic sewing machine is provided with an electronic memory and electronic circuit capable of producing auto-data for controlling the needle lateral amplitude and the fabric feed to thereby form respective stitch patterns of an automatically controlled size, and manual signals acting on the auto-data for manually adjusting the needle lateral amplitude and the fabric feed in response to operation of adjusting dials arranged on a front panel of the machine. The manual signals can be produced separately for adjusting the needle lateral amplitude and the fabric feed independently from each other to thereby stitch a deformed configuration of the stitch pattern, but the machine is so designed that the needle lateral amplitude and the fabric feed are simultaneously adjusted by one and the same manual signal in response to operation of one of the adjusting dials for proportionally enlarging or reducing the automatically controlled size of the stitch pattern with its configuration being unchanged.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 1984Date of Patent: February 25, 1986Assignee: Janome Sewing Machine Industry Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hachiro Makabe, Takeshi Kongoh

Patent number: 4570561Abstract: An electronically controlled sewing machine includes an electronic memory storing a plurality of stitch control data for respective stitch patterns, including a darning pattern composed of a number of vertical straight stitch lines sequentially produced in forward and reverse fabric feeding directions. A number of signals which are generated each time a fabric penetrating needle ascends above the fabric between the first stitch and the last stitch of each vertical straight stitch line of the darning pattern, are counted up by a counter to produce a corresponding value signal. The latter signal is compared with another value signal latched in a latch circuit in response to operation of a turning point designating switch adapted to designate a number of stitches for each vertical straight stitch line of the darning pattern. When the value signals coincide with each other, the count-up operation of the counter is reset for producing a subsequent vertical straight stitch line.Type: GrantFiled: April 20, 1984Date of Patent: February 18, 1986Assignee: Janome Sewing Machine Industry Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hachiro Makabe, Takeshi Kongoh

Patent number: 4554880Abstract: A control circuit of an electronically controlled sewing machine is arranged so that, in response to a signal generated from an electronic memory element connected to pattern selection switches and a memory switch, and during stitching operation of a letter pattern designated to be accompanied by a supplemental symbol or mark, data for controlling stitches of the designated letter pattern and the accompanying symbol or mark are read out from a stitch control data memory. The designated combination of the letter pattern and the accompanying symbol or mark will be stitched with a natural appearance.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 1984Date of Patent: November 26, 1985Assignee: Janome Sewing Machine Industry Co., Ltd.Inventor: Takeshi Kongoh

Patent number: 4532876Abstract: In an electronically controlled sewing machine having a memory storing a plurality of stitch patterns among which a desired one or combination may be selectively read out therefrom to produce the same, it is detected if a pattern designated to be followed by a lock stitch pattern and memorized accordingly in the memory is of a first type which includes the last stitch to be produced by initial data stored in the memory for producing the initial stitch of the pattern, or of a second type which includes the last stitch to be produced by the last data stored in the memory for producing the last stitch of the pattern, and according to the result of the detection, the sewing machine is operated to continuously produce the lock stitch pattern after the initial data has been issued from the memory for producing the pattern of the first type or after the last data has been issued from the memory for producing the pattern of the second type.Type: GrantFiled: May 18, 1984Date of Patent: August 6, 1985Assignee: Janome Sewing Machine Industry Co., Ltd.Inventors: Takeshi Kongoh, Haruhiko Tanaka

Patent number: 4480561Abstract: A stitch pattern sewing machine utilizes a microcomputer which operates in a stitch control mode and in a malfunction diagnosing mode. Each mode is selectively rendered effective by a changeover switch. The diagnosis of malfunction includes a series of checking steps carried out in a predetermined order. Indication means are selectively illuminated to operate in either one of the two modes in dependence upon the position of the changeover switch.Type: GrantFiled: April 15, 1983Date of Patent: November 6, 1984Assignee: Janome Sewing Machine Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hachiro Makabe, Haruhiko Tanaka, Akira Orii, Takeshi Kongoh

Patent number: 4465003Abstract: The invention is to provide an electronic sewing machine which is improved in operation by incorporating lighting indication and vocal instrumentalities for making the operation instruction recognizable during operation of the sewing machine and giving parameters of operating instruction in accordance with issued voice, instead of depending upon electronic memories which store many kinds of patterns for lighting indication of required function.Type: GrantFiled: December 5, 1983Date of Patent: August 14, 1984Assignee: Janome Sewing Machine Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hachiro Makabe, Takeshi Kongoh
