Abstract: If reception quality of a broadcast signal of a first frequency received by a tuner satisfies setting conditions, the frequency received by the tuner is changed from the first frequency to a second frequency. It is evaluated whether or not the amount of offset between a reference frequency and the frequency of the signal, which is generated by converting the broadcast signal of the second frequency received by the tuner into an intermediate frequency is within a predetermined range. If the offset between the reference frequency and the frequency of the intermediate frequency signal is within the predetermined range, the data included in the broadcast signal of the first frequency is acquired by a demodulating the broadcast signal of the first frequency. It is evaluated whether or not the broadcast signal of the first frequency is a broadcast signal of a broadcasting station based on the acquired data.

Abstract: A clamping device includes a clamp arm attached to a mounting member to be able to reciprocate with respect to the mounting member, a pressure applying mechanism for applying pressure to the clamp arm, and a clamp bolt for clamping a member to be clamped between a support member and the clamp bolt. A threaded cylinder having an external thread portion on the outside and an internal thread portion on the inside is attached to the clamp arm such that the height of the threaded cylinder is adjustable by utilizing the external thread portion. The clamp bolt is screwed to the internal thread portion of the threaded cylinder. A manipulation portion is provided for rotating the clamp bolt in a state where the member to be clamped is clamped between the clamp bolt and the support member.

After the apparatus has been set to the character/symbol mode, the numeral keys assigned for the characters/symbols and the special key are operated in the predetermined sequence, thereby inputting character/symbol data. The data are applied to a electronic calculator CPU, are outputted in the form of character/symbol pattern signals from a character generator, and are displayed by a display section in the predetermined sequence.
