  • Patent number: 8086734
Abstract: A method and apparatus for selecting a client computer as a relay server to rebroadcast common application information that is broadcast from a server system over a network. The client computer is selected randomly to rebroadcast the User Datagram Protocol (UDP) information received from the server system and client computers receiving the UDP information from another client computer relay server on the network do not rebroadcast the information. If the client computer selected to rebroadcast the common information fails to rebroadcast, another client computer is randomly selected as a relay server and takes over rebroadcasting the common information.

  • Publication number: 20090315429
Abstract: The present invention provides a rotating electrical machine including a rotor core that does not produce narrow areas in rotor slots even if circumferential ends of fan-shaped segment cores are displaced radially outwardly and circumferentially during operation. In the present invention, slots near circumferential ends of the fan-shaped segment cores are made larger than slots in circumferential intermediate portions of the segment cores. With such a configuration, even if the circumferential ends of the segment cores are displaced radially outwardly and circumferentially during operation, the circumferential ends of the segment cores forming the large slots do not protrude into the slots formed in the circumferential intermediate portions of axially adjacent segment cores, thereby preventing narrow areas from being produced in the rotor slots.

  • Patent number: 6603446
Abstract: Disclosed is a configuration of a PDP in which different sustaining discharge signals are applied to odd-numbered ones of X electrodes and Y electrodes and even-numbered ones thereof respectively. Owing to the configuration, the wiring in a drive circuit for driving the X electrodes or Y electrodes is simplified, and a scan driver can be formed with an IC or ICs. A plasma display device has a display panel including first to third electrodes. Sustaining discharge signals that are mutually out of phase are applied alternately to adjoining ones of the first electrodes and adjoining ones of the second electrodes respectively. Consequently, first display cells are defined between the second electrodes and the first electrodes on one side of the second electrodes, and second display cells are defined between the second electrodes and the first electrodes on the other side of the second electrodes.

  • Patent number: 6496164
Abstract: A plasma display device has a first representing unit, a second representing unit, a judging unit, and a selector. The first representing unit lights only one of even display lines and odd display lines which represent one frame, and the second representing unit lights only the other one of the even display lines and the odd display lines. The judging unit judges a condition for an image to be displayed, and the selector selects whichever of the first representing unit and the second representing unit is used to display an image, based on the results of judgment made by the judging unit. Consequently, the service lives of phosphors and a protecting film can be extended and sticking in a screen can be prevented.
