  • Patent number: 8969714
Abstract: The solar cell module comprises: a string including solar cell elements, each including a first main surface being rectangular in shape and an electrode extending along a longitudinal direction on the first main surface, and an interconnection connecting the solar cell elements adjacent to each other along the longitudinal direction; a light-transmitting member located to cover the string; and a sealing material located between the string and the light-transmitting member. Each of solar cell elements includes a silicon substrate with the first and second main surface, and a first and second side surfaces each connecting the first and second main surface, the second side surface being located on the back side of the first side surface. The first and second side surfaces are arranged along the longitudinal direction, where silicon is exposed on the first side surface and the second side surface is covered with an insulating layer.

  • Patent number: 8829333
Abstract: A highly reliable solar cell module and method for manufacturing same are disclosed. The solar cell module is provided with first and second solar cell elements, each of which has a semiconductor substrate and an output taking out electrode; a circuit film which electrically connects together the first solar cell element and the second solar cell element; and a sealing material disposed between the circuit film and the second surface of the first and the second solar cell elements. The sealing material has a through hole, and the circuit film has: a base sheet having a protruding section which protrudes toward the second surface of the solar cell element; and a wiring conductor which electrically connects the output taking out electrode of the first solar cell element and the output taking out electrode of the second solar cell element.

  • Publication number: 20090293934
Abstract: A photoelectric conversion device in which a plurality of crystal semiconductor particles 2 of a first conductivity type having a surface layer thereof a semiconductor part 4 of a second conductivity type are bonded at spaced intervals on a surface of a conductive substrate 1, an insulating layer 3 is formed on the conductive substrate 1 extending between the semiconductor particles 2 and 2, a light-transmitting conducting layer 5 is formed on the insulating layer 3 and the crystal semiconductor particles 2, and a collector electrode 7 is formed on a surface of the light-transmitting conducting layer 5. The collector electrode 7 is comprised of a conductor plate with a plurality of through-holes 40 to admit external light into the crystal semiconductor particles 2. The light-transmitting light collection layer 8 is disposed on the light-transmitting conducting layer 5 and the collector electrode 7.
