  • Publication number: 20020080140
Abstract: Both legs of a human figure P are each formed by two skeletons SK1, SK2 (SK3, SK4). A dynamic model is formed by a mass particle W located at a waist position A, an elastic body SP such as a spring coupling the mass particle W and a middle point B between the feet of both legs of the human figure P, and a damper DP. The positions of the skeletons SK1 to SK2 forming the legs can be dynamically obtained by calculating the waist position and further the positions of the knees using the dynamic model. Accordingly, movements of the legs can be expressed in such a manner as to give a good presence by dynamically calculating them every scene displayed as a game progresses.

  • Patent number: 6313725
Abstract: The invention is to establish means of producing easily and at low cost “a coupled body of superconducting magnets”, comprised of multi-pole bulk superconducting magnets lined up such that the polarities thereof alternately vary so as to cause a magnetic field gradient to occur. The magnetizing method for producing a coupled body comprised of multi-pole bulk superconducting magnets with respective polarities varying comprises the steps of coupling adjacent members for bulk superconducting magnets of a plurality of members for bulk superconducting magnets with each other in such a way as to be freely superposable, foldable, and unfoldable, superposing all the members for the bulk superconducting magnets on top of one after another, and applying a magnetizing process thereto in as superposed state, and unfolding alternately and juxtaposing the respective bulk superconducting magnets as superposed after the magnetizing process as shown in FIG. 1(A) to FIG. 1(D).

  • Patent number: 6047948
Abstract: The fuel injection nozzle according to the present invention comprises a nozzle body provided with nozzle holes, a needle valve that opens and closes the nozzle holes, an armature that is mechanically linked with the needle valve and a stator that faces opposite the armature, so that, by displacing the stator with a micromotor, the lift quantity of the needle valve can be adjusted. In addition, a cover member that rotates slidably around the circumference of the nozzle body is provided and by causing this cover member to rotate with a micromotor, the opening area of the nozzle hole contributing to injection is varied. With these structural features, it becomes possible to intentionally achieve a desired injection pattern.

  • Patent number: 5645225
Abstract: A plurality of injection holes are circumferentially arranged in the peripheral wall of the hole at predetermined intervals and at axially different circumferential levels in the leading end portion of the nozzle body to introduce pressurized fuel, and the injection holes at each circumferential level are set different in diameter. On the other hand, a rotary valve has a plurality of fuel guide holes each corresponding to the injection holes at the respective circumferential levels. The fuel guide holes of the rotary valve and the injection holes of the nozzle body are arranged in such a relationship that while the fuel guide holes at one or more than one circumferential level are each made to communicate with the fuel guide holes at one or more than one corresponding circumferential level, the fuel guide holes at the other circumferential levels are not allowed to communicate with any injection holes.

  • Patent number: 5177607
Abstract: In a method for measuring the velocity of a fluid visualized by the injection of tracer particles, the particle pathline images are imaged by the use of an interlaced scanning type television camera and logical products between pairs of field pictorial image data derived form a frame pictorial image of the output from the television camera is calculated. The correspondence among the particle pathline images of the field pictorial image data is determined on the basis of the logical products. The pairs of field pictorial image data can be obtained from a set of image pickup apparatuses whose exposure time periods are controlled so as to overlap partially.

  • Patent number: 5099356
Abstract: The invention relates to an electrochromic (EC) device having oppositely arranged two EC electrode layers. The first EC electrode layer uses Prussian blue, osmium purple or ruthenium purple and accordingly takes on a characteristic color by electrochemical oxidation, and the second EC electrode layer uses a transition metal oxide which takes on a characteristic color by electrochemical reduction, such as WO.sub.3. The space between the two EC electrode layers is filled with an electrolyte solution. When an EC device of this type is left in the bleached state for some period of time and then driven for coloration, the density of coloration is insufficient because of a decrease in the quantity of electricity in the oxidizing and coloring reaction of the first EC electrode layer. The invention solves this problem by using, as the electrolyte solution, a solution of a lithium salt and a sodium salt in an organic solvent prepared such that Na.sup.+ ion amounts to 3-30 mol % of the total of Li.sup.+ ion and Na.sup.

  • Patent number: 4645307
Abstract: An electrochromic device having two electrochromic layers respectively formed on oppositely arranged two electrodes and containing an electrolyte such as a solution of an alkali metal salt in an organic solvent which fills up the gap between the two electrodes. The electrochromic layers are formed of an electrochromic material which can alternately and stably exist in three different oxidation states and assumes three different colors in its respective oxidation states such that there is a clear contrast between the color of this material in its normal or intermediate oxidation state and a composite color given by superposition of the color in the highest oxidation state on the color in the lowest oxidation state. Prussian blue is a preferred example of such an electrochromic material, on condition that an adequate amount of water be present in the electrolyte solution or, alternatively, that the Prussian blue layers be pretreated to substitute alkali metal cation for Fe.sup.

  • Patent number: 4541573
Abstract: A food processor comprises a motor for rotating a rotor, a read-only memory (902) and a key input portion (600). In the read-only memory, a plurality of processing data are stored in advance. Each of the processing data includes a plurality of data groups consisting of speed data for determining the rotational speed of the motor and time data for determining the operation time of the motor. By operation of the key input portion (600), an arbitrary processing data is selected out of the plurality of processing data and the data groups included in the selected processing data are outputted successively from the read-only memory (902). According to these data groups, operation of the motor is controlled so that food is automatically processed.
