  • Publication number: 20120220452
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide absorbent resin particles for a water-stopping tape which are superior in absorption rate even when their average particle size is smaller or when their particle size distribution is wider. The present invention relates to absorbent resin particles for a water-stopping tape comprising a crosslinked polymer (A1) comprising a water-soluble vinyl monomer (a1) and/or a hydrolyzable vinyl monomer (a2) and a crosslinking agent (b) as essential constitutional units, wherein a hydrophobic substance (C) is present inside the absorbent resin particles in an amount of from 0.01 to 10.0% by weight relative to the weight of (A1) and (C) is present on the surface of the absorbent resin particles in an amount of from 0.001 to 1.0% by weight relative to the weight of (A1).
