  • Publication number: 20090021134
Abstract: The present invention provides an organic EL display device which exhibits a long lifetime. In an organic EL display device which includes pixel electrodes formed on a substrate, an insulation partition wall surrounding the pixel electrodes, an organic EL layer formed on the pixel electrodes, and a common electrode formed on the organic EL layer, the common electrode is formed of a transparent conductive film which is made of metal oxide, and an auxiliary electrode which is made of opaque metal containing Zn or Mg as a main component is arranged above the common electrode and at positions where the auxiliary electrode overlaps with the insulation partition wall. The auxiliary electrode may be arranged below the common electrode instead of being arranged above the common electrode.

  • Publication number: 20090015152
Abstract: The present invention aims at the suppression of chromaticity irregularities and brightness irregularities by reflecting a result of an analysis of film forming misalignment of an organic EL layer. For this end, a drive circuit chip 6 is mounted on a lower side of a display panel 4, and a terminal portion 7 for connection with an external device (a host device) is mounted on an end edge of the lower side of a display panel 4. Film forming misalignment vectors (indicated by arrows) of sub pixels at an arbitrary point in a display region 5 fall within a first quadrant and an angle made between the vectors falls within 90°.

  • Publication number: 20090015523
Abstract: Provided is an organic electroluminescence display device, in which when center deviations in film formation of organic electroluminescence layers in an arrangement direction of a sub-pixel aperture corresponding to a red light, a sub-pixel aperture corresponding to a green light, and a sub-pixel aperture corresponding to a blue light are denoted by LER(X), LEG(X), and LEB(X) and the center deviations in the film formation of the organic electroluminescence layers in a direction perpendicular to the arrangement direction are denoted by LER(Y), LEG(Y), and LEB(Y), any one of the following formulae is satisfied: LEG(X)?LEB(X); LEG(X)?LER(X); LEG(Y)?LEB(Y); and LEG(Y)?LER(Y).

  • Publication number: 20070241672
Abstract: An organic electroluminescence display device wherein the wiring width is made large enough to secure a current capacity for the power supply line and at the same time high luminance is achieved by increasing the aperture rate is to be realized. The device has lower electrodes formed over the main face of a transparent substrate, a plurality of organic electroluminescence elements each stacked over one or another of the lower electrodes and emitting light of a prescribed color, and an upper electrode formed as a film covering the plurality of organic electroluminescence layers in common, and this upper electrode is reflective and the luminescence from the organic electroluminescence elements is emitted from the transparent substrate side.
