  • Patent number: 6765690
Abstract: This invention allows both a plateless textile printer that makes process color expression, and a plate textile printer to achieve equivalent color expressions. For this purpose, image data that uses an RGB pallet is converted into YMCK image data using a correction table. An ink-jet textile printer (14) prints on textile on the basis of the converted image data. On the other hand, the image data that uses the RGB pallet is sent to a plate separation data generation unit (15), and is separated into binary plate data, the number of which is the same as the number of ink colors of the ink-jet textile printer, using an RGB/ink color tone correction table to realize the same color expression as that of screen textile printing.

  • Patent number: 6511143
Abstract: An image forming apparatus wherein an image for a predetermined region of a recording material is formed using images having a complementary relation by a plurality of scans of a recording head, the apparatus including allocating means for allocating a multi-level image data for the predetermined region for the scans; gradation reducing means for reducing gradation of the multi-level image data allocated by the allocating means, respectively; image forming means for forming an image having the complementary relation by driving the recording head in the scans on the basis of the image data having gradations reduced by the reducing means; wherein the complementary relation of the image by the forming means is reduced by at least one of the allocating means and the gradation reducing means.

  • Patent number: 5943530
Abstract: An image-forming apparatus is disclosed. Unstably charged toner contained in a developer is attached to the surface of an image carrier by a developing sleeve for use in a developer unit. This toner is allowed to pass through the transfer position while keeping from contacting a transfer material. The toner is then uniformly charged by a pre-transfer charger or a separating charger to the same polarity as the developed normal toner. This increases an adhesion force of the toner to the surface of the image carrier, thereby preventing its attachment to a separating claw.
