  • Patent number: 6367914
Abstract: An electrostatic ink-jet head includes an oscillation plate which defines a bottom of a pressurizing chamber. An electrode substrate is bonded to the oscillation plate and includes a recessed portion that defines an internal space between the oscillation plate and the electrode substrate. A curved electrode is arranged on the recessed portion so as to face the oscillation plate via the internal space. When a driving voltage is applied to the electrode, the electrode actuates the oscillation plate via an electrostatic force, so as to pressurize ink in the pressurizing chamber, thereby ejecting an ink drop onto the recording paper.

  • Patent number: 5544340
Abstract: A method of controlling a cache memory disposed between a CPU and a main memory, wherein pairs of data and an address to be written in the cache memory are stored into a buffer memory. A plurality of pairs of data and an address read from the buffer memory are processed to compare the address fields thereof. Based on results of the comparisons, there is determined a write control for writing the data in the cache memory which has been subdivided into a plurality of banks. As a result, the plural pairs of data and an address are written into the plural banks of the cache memory, the addresses of the respective pairs being different from each other. With the provisions set forth above, the write operation can be independently conducted for each bank of the cache memory, thereby improving the write throughput.

  • Patent number: 5079591
Abstract: A developing apparatus operable with a toner cartridge having a flexible sack which is filled with a toner. When the toner cartridge is mounted on a developing tank included in the apparatus, the sack having been held under tension by the toner is perforated to form a hole therein. The hole causes the sack to contract rapidly due to its contactability while forcing the toner out of the sack. Then, the toner is dropped or otherwise auotmatically supplied into the developing tank. This allows the toner to be supplied without resorting to any extra manual operation after the toner cartridge has been mounted on the tank.

  • Patent number: 5008817
Abstract: Provided is an information processing apparatus in which at least two processing units each having a buffer memory are mutually connected to each other and to a main storage unit through a bus. All of the processing units having the buffer memories continuously monitor the state of the bus. When one of the processing units generates an information updating request in order to update the storage content of the main storage unit, the other processing units read a memory address from the bus. The memory address corresponds to the information to be updated, and is sent to the main storage unit through the bus together with the information updating request. The memory address is compared with memory addresses contained in the buffer memory of the other processing units. If there is a coincidence, information in the relevant memory address exists in its own buffer memory. Thereafter this information is invalidated.
