  • Patent number: 6305064
Abstract: A reclining seat having a U-shaped back frame of a seat back thereof and a base frame of a seat bottom thereof. End portions of the back frame are connected to connecting means provided in the base frame for connecting to the back frame so as to rotate the back frame with respect to the base frame. At least one of the connecting means has a rotating member provided for adjusting and fixing a tilt angle of the seat back with respect to the seat bottom. The rotating member has a shape corresponding to a circumference of the end portion and has means for temporarily attaching the back frame to the base frame, and the temporarily attaching means have a hook. The circumference of the end portion has an entrance for entering and receiving the hook. When the end portion of the back frame is connected to the connector of the base frame, the hook is entered and received in the entrance, and thereby, the back frame is temporarily attached to the base frame.

  • Patent number: 6274069
Abstract: A seat, which is covered with a surface material and has a multilayer with different hardness, the air permeability, a good feeling on the surface and such a hardness that a weight of a person can be supported, is provided. The seat (1) is covered with a surface material (2) having the air permeability and comprises a foamed body having an outline generally corresponding to an outline of the seat. The foamed body comprises a first foamed body (10) as a base of the foamed body and a second foamed body (6).

  • Patent number: 6226819
Abstract: A seat having various hardnesses provided with a surface material. The seat is air-permeable, has a tactile feeling of the seat surface and has a hardness capable of supporting the weight of a person who sits thereon. The seat (1) is covered with an air-permeable surface material (2) and has a foamed body having a shape generally corresponding to an external shape of the seat. The foamed body includes a first foamed body (10) as a base of the foamed body and a second foamed body (6) connected integrally with the first foamed body. The first foamed body (10) has ascending parts (12, 13) which are formed on parts of a surface thereof. In the method for manufacturing the seat, the mixture (15) is introduced and layered on the first foamed body (10) and the surface material (2) is placed thereon.

  • Patent number: 5702159
Abstract: A cushion body (10) for forming a car seat, which facilitates attachment of a skin material (15) to a cushion material (11).The cushion body (10) is made by attaching a planar fastening body (12) in a cushion material molding die (20) and unifying with the cushion material (11) along a three-dimensional curved surface shape of an interior surface of the die by an internal foamed molding pressure of the cushion material (11). The planar fastening body (12) is made of a planar fastening material (13) connecting with a supporting material (14) which is basically the same composition as the cushion material (11).

  • Patent number: 5654069
Abstract: A cushion body structure (1) is connected to a planar fastening body (4) with a cushion material (6), by spacing in a proper distance at least a part along a side end (7) of the planar fastener (4) from the cushion material (2, 3) positioned in proximity of it through a space (11). When a skin material (12) fastened to the planar fastener (4) is tensioned, it is not moved to separate from and fasten to the skin material again and thereby does not produce noise.

  • Patent number: 5630240
Abstract: In a cushion body structure of a car seat, which is made by fastening a skin material to a cushion material by using a planar fastening material, an impregnation layer made of a foamed body is not produced. In the cushion body structure, a planar fastening body (4) is integrally molded with a cushion material by shielding and clamping walls (22, 23) for preventing entry of a foaming solution in a molding die (20) of the cushion material (2,3), so that an opening is provided between the periphery of the planar fastening body and the side (3) of the cushion material, and a non-impregnation layer (7) is formed in the periphery.
