  • Publication number: 20240097441
Abstract: A management system includes a plurality of resources configured to be electrically connected to an external power supply, and a management device configured to manage the resources. The management device includes a planning unit and a management unit. The planning unit is configured to determine a power balancing plan of each of the resources by using first information on a use schedule of each of the resources and second information indicating a magnitude of an environmental load in a process of generating electric power to be supplied by the external power supply. The management unit is configured to manage the resources to cause each of the resources to operate according to the power balancing plan or a modified power balancing plan in power balancing of the external power supply.

  • Patent number: 8897006
Abstract: First and second units are mounted on a rear side of a housing of a storage system. Either of the first and second units includes a fan. The rear side of the housing includes an upper-tier portion defining an upper-tier opening, and a lower-tier portion defining a lower-tier opening, and the housing further includes a boundary portion that is a boundary between the upper-tier portion and the lower-tier portion, and a shutter unit. The boundary portion includes a first through hole that is a through hole connecting an upper-tier passage and a lower-tier passage. When the fan is operating, if the first unit is removed from the upper-tier portion, the shutter unit blocks the upper-tier passage, and if the second unit is removed from the lower-tier portion, the shutter unit blocks the lower-tier passage.

  • Patent number: 6199273
Abstract: A ball-grid array connector structure for an electronic package in which the ball pitch can be reduced to increase the packaging density has a plastic substrate having at least one hollow through-hole and an electrode covering the wall of the through-hole and forming an electrode pad surrounding the through-hole on each surface of the substrate. A metallic ball is joined, either directly or through a solder or a combination of a metallic bump and a solder, to the electrode pad on at least one surface of the substrate at the position of the through-hole. The connector structure can be formed either by sealing an open end of the through-hole on the side to which the ball is not joined, or increasing the pressure within the through-hole by a pressure-control mechanism, before the through-hole is blocked by reflowing the ball itself or the metallic bump or solder used to connect the ball.

  • Patent number: 4011151
Abstract: A process for purifying waste water by electrolysis in two steps is disclosed. In the first step, the electrolysis is effected by dipping an iron anode and a carbon cathode in the waste water having a pH of about 7 to be purified until a pH of 11 is reached. The water is filtered to remove the precipitate which has formed. In the second step, the pH of the filtrate having a pH of 11 is adjusted to about 4 by electrolysis with a carbon anode and an aluminum cathode or by adding thereto an acid and then the electrolysis of the filtrate is effected by dipping therein an iron anode and an aluminum or aluminum base alloy cathode.
